Replying to: volkov (Jan 13, 2009 5:15 pm) I once measured. The Outback's seats, even at the lowest position, were a full 4" higher off the ground than in our Legacy. So the seats are raised up 1.5" taller as well.

It appears to be the production version of the Legacy wagon. The car appears to be considerably longer than the current Legacy/Outback wagon. Now if only we could get a larger image... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showpost.php?p=25194956&postcount=1172 Bob

| From what I have heard the Legacy and Outback are going to be completely different from each other. So you possible could se a Legacy wagon here. I would not be suprised if the Exiga is actually the next Outback. As far as the Legacy Concept, I like it. However I do hope the use the 3.6 H6 and get rid of the 3.0. However a 3.0 diesel would be nice too. Maybe they could even make a new Baja. Which was a nice little truck. | |

As someone who recently leased an 09 Legacy SE I was very curious about the 2010 model since my lease will be up the end of 2010. To say the least I'm a bit disappointed in the styling. Not that it's awful or anything but it's totally generic and looks like numerous current midsizers out there. The C-Pillar is an absolute clone of the Altima, Accord, G35, BMW 3 and who knows how many others. I was kind of hoping for a unique and sleeker design. As for the front end I suspect it will be toned down in the production model. I also don't like the center stack another copycat design. Frankly, I leased the Legacy because it was a bit different stylistically than most of the other current midsizers and has an equisite interior for its price point. Likely that I'll stick with my current choice and buy it off lease. It's been flawless in the first four months of ownership. Still, we'll have to see the actual production car and check its price and features to make a final judgement. I do like the idea of the extra width and height assuming that translates into real interior room. Recently rented the horrific Chrysler Sebring which is longer and wider than the Legacy and found it far more cramped so size doesn't always translate into room. Bottom line is I love my 09 Legacy and still think it's the best value out there. My choice for best of production car NAIAS would be 2010 Taurus. A bit big for my taste but looks good inside and out at a mid 20's price. |
