Camper Rig??? by ferous

It's a bike rack. It holds 4 full size bikes if you alternate them one facing forward one back, etc. We always do a lot of biking on our camping trips. I have another custom bike rack that holds 3 bikes in the back of my quad for the weekend bike trips.

stockland cover by chachingman

nortx01qc - I like that stockland cover, I do have a question... I've seen a lot of covers with the 2 locks at the rear corners. This may seem like a silly question, but do you have to keep it locked when you are driving, or are they just there for those occasions that you want to lock the cover. Is it a pain to unlock from both corners? Seems like most of the low profile models favor this design.

ARE single T-handle by resqman

I have an ARE cap with a single T-Handle on the rear door. I have driven with the handle in the open position and the closed position, both locked and unlocked. The door has never opened on its own to date with the handle in the open position during on-road conditions.

I have the WinDoors on the side windows that have 2 T-handles. I have driven with the handle in the open, closed unlocked and closed locked. Again no opening on their own. All openings have shocks to help lift and hold open the windows. The shocks also tend to hold the windows closed.

Having 2 handles on the side windows is a tad more effort than a single handle. Not much. I like having a single handle on the rear door.

The only issue I had was upon delivery the side handles and the rear handle were keyed differently. I had the dealer switch cylinders on the rear handle so all five were all keyed alike. The cylinder for the rear handle is upside down relative to the side handles so I have to remember to turn the key over when locking or unlocking all the handles. Minor annoyance.

Thanks for looking at my quad.

While the shocks used to keep the cover up are very strong and would probably keep the cover closed going down the road, I keep it locked at all times. I paid too much for it to take a chance on it popping up and getting damaged. Also if you keep it unlocked, to easy for a 'quick removal' for someone wanting it.

As far as two locks, I don't find it to be any trouble. They are two small locks in each corner that turn into a tab to hold it down. Also there is no linkage going side to side to get bumped or damaged (am assumption of ARE - sorry if incorrect). I will attempt to get a couple photos of locks and post them on web page. Will advise when up there.

Getting the Dakota Dirty by victx

My Dakota got it's first test in 4 wheel drive. My brother has a F-350 4x4 and got stuck. He gave me a call, so I could bail him out. Thought I'd share a few pics. I was very impressed with the truck's performance except the tires, which should be my next upgrade. Enjoy.

victx: I love to see a 4x4 used for its intended purpose! Looks like fun, maybe I'll trade in my 2x2 for one.

Eric, still time consuming but a great job. I liked the information inset on the main page. actually, this site (Edmunds) has been a bit on the slow side, so that may explain the tardy response. Well done.

(livnlrn) LOOKS GREAT! Especially with the turning
leaves in the background. I have seen your rig
around town. The light bar on top is easy to spot.

BTW your BACK button seems to need some work.

Okay, thanks for the tips on the bugs I need to fix. I know the light bar makes it easy to spot, makes me be sure to be good, everyone knows who you are. Glad everyone thinks the site is okay. First try at a home page. Loved the leaves turning.
