Heads Up by hondafriek

Well guys this is a heads up for anybody interested. The Titan might go on the block In the middle of next year, We are planning to go down to one car and since Rita won't drive the Titan, she thinks it too big, I have to make the unhappy choice to sell the Titan. Based on Condition, still like new with no rust, no door dings no scratches and about six small stone chips, and low milage at this point only has about 30K miles it won't be cheap.
Although it is winter prepared every year it has not seen a winter since 2003 and only minimal winter use prior to that. Origional carpets have never had a foot on them, and interior is still as new. Has Subaru 4 pots on the front, 17" Rota sub zero rims with no curbage and Kuhmo Exsta tires.

 Cheers Pat.

Is that a MT Turbo? I forget now exactly the specs. Used cars even in good condition these days are low prices unfortunately.

Nope 01 Legacy GT wagon, Auto Trans, and if I don't get a decent price for it I will keep it. There are 2 02 legacy L models in our local paper at the minute both over 60k Miles $9500CDN and $9800CDN respectively.

 Cheers Pat.

It's not really impressive when you consider we paid a hell of a lot more up here than what you did, The list on mine in 01 was $33kCDN, with PDI delivery and taxes I paid close to $37KCDN.

Pat (or anybody else in the know):
Is that car legal (I believe the industry term is 'federalized') for US sale, or only for Canada?

Cheers!

I was wondering the same thing Paul. Not sure if Pat's car, if it was to be sold and registered in the USA, if it would have to undergo some modifications in order to meet US laws?

When did the GT change by volkov

I was checking the Leg GT specs the other day and noted it now gets dual AVCS like the STi. The WRX still lacks this. The listed specs boast torque of 258 ft/lbs at 2k rpm. Is that new this year or did I miss it in 09? I'm just a little surprised a bigger deal wasn't made of it. That is a very impressive figure, and basically removes any issue of turbo lag.

The new 2010 Legacy GT, has had a relocation of the Turbo, which leads to quick spool-up and leads to literally no lag. The header to turbo distance has been reduced from around 5 feet (WRX) to around 1 feet (2010 Legacy GT), which leads to the swift spool-up and availability of max torque earlier in the rev range.

Paul I am not sure, but I do know that when our dollar was low against the US dollar, car dealers from the US were coming up here and cleaning out the Toronto and Montreal Auctions. They actually put a lot of small dealers out of business here. They could bid the cars well past wholesale and still make a profit in the US.

I guess Customs and Excise could answer that question.

  Cheers Pat.
