Hope everyone's having fun these holidays. I'm enjoying time with my family after the whole year full of stress, business travel and corporate layoffs. I still have a job but to tell the truth things do not look all that good here in Silicon Valley. OTOH, I got 2 Foresters in the family, so life is not all too bad Glad to see so many familiar faces in our Crew here! Happy holidays, everyone.

we went to the husband's family for Christmas dinner ... his mother cooked a huge dinner .. not bad considering she "died" last January and recovered since then ... (her aorta burst before they got her on heart-lung machine, but she's had an amazing recovery) ... nice day ... his sister and her family drove in from Texas (through some of the ice storms...) we're home ...went in the subie - of course - although the ice was in our street and in his mother's driveway ... in between was fine .. lol

G'day Hope you all survived Christmas and storms. Just listening to the latest forecast for the US and Canada and it sounds cold. Of course, you are all welcome to come over and leap in our pool. Currently sitting on about 30C (about 86F) air temperature and kids are complaining that the pool is not warm enough! I asked Judy if she would go back to England to avoid the heat - she thought one moment and concluded the ice and snow were not worth it when you have kids to shepherd to school. She does not drive and used to slip and skid down the pavements - yuk!
