Still mentally sharp which is a blessing, but the body is getting frail. She'll be the first to admit that she's a lousy cook (turned me into an ok one by necessity however!). That said, I still managed to put on 4 pounds in 5 days at her place, even without hitting a single BBQ shack.

OK, we need a new official Subaru Crew mascot. Hadji passed away last night, peacefully, while sleeping. He lived 15 long years, 105 in dog years. Poor guy was ready to go - pancreatis, heart murmur, high blood pressure. I'm doing OK, probably because I had been preparing for this for the last 2 months, but I'm a bit worried about my 9 year old daughter. On a lighter note, cats have 9 lives, so he's got 8 left, right? She's been going down hill pretty rapidly this past year, especially the last few months. She has trouble breathing, and she's on pain and arthritis meds as well.
