| Happy Holiday Weekend ... You guys be careful out there while you're having fun with friends and family! | |

I have not checked in for a while... Life's at work has been crazy, including a lot of business travel. I'm so pleased to see all the familiar faces here... juice, Bob, Brenda, Mark, Serge, Frank, Dave, Jeff, Lucien2-- hi to all! This is by far the most stable internet community in the world! On most forums, the crowd is changing 90% over each 1/2 year. In Feb, hubby sold his WRX at 90K mi for an amazingly good price of $16K. He bought new 2008 X Premium Forester in Dark Grey. With my 2.5X Forester 2006, and fond memories of my very first 2001 S Premium Forester, I think we're the most Forester'ed family on the planet. |

We seem to have largely paased the need for seven seats and are coming back to normal car usage for me. Tempting to trade the Kluger and get a new Forester with a Luxury pack, probably in about 12 months time. However the surging petrol price is making it tempting to look at something more economical like a Prius. Not sure I coul; adpat though Cheers Graham

I wonder if alloy rims vs steel ones make all the difference in road noise?

It so happened that in Jan my company sent me on a business trip to my home country which I've left 20 yrs ago and never went back. I stopped by my home town, and I was amazed and touched by how many people actually remembered me and really wanted to meet w/me after all those years... I wrote that part of my life off, essentially, but they didn't -- shame on me. Even boyfriend from my high school dating 30 years ago well, back to the topic - Subarus are very much respected over there, but awfully expensive, and many Foresters are still equipped with 2.0L engines... |
