You all know how much I love that car, but the gas is killing me. He said he won't need one when he comes back from school. looks like the Forester is leading the new sales right now: "Subaru of America, Inc. today reported April sales of 16,771 total units -- a record for the month of April. Retail sales were up 22% over the same month in 2007, driven by strong consumer demand. Model 2008 April % v 2007 Total Legacy 1,890 +32% Total Outback 4,137 +1% (incl. Legacy Wagon) Total Impreza 4,010 +16% Total Forester 5,339 +49% Total Tribeca 1,395 +29% Total 16,771" Between all the commercials and the reviews that are out there, I guess it is paying off. Found the elusive LGT wagon on the web that I had been meaning to want. New too! Well, not exactly. Mileage: 192 Body Style: Wagon Exterior Color: White Engine: 4 Cylinder Turbo Transmission: 5 Speed Automatic with Electronic Overdrive Drive Type : All wheel drive Fuel Type: Gasoline Doors: Four Door Stock No. A70345 VIN 4S3BP676X74319300 Catches are: 1. It's been sitting dealer's lot for over a year. 2. There's 5 Carfax history. I don't subscribe, so I don't know what they are. 3. What are those 192 miles? 4. mike busted me - so I may as well come clean! The wife just factory-ordered a 2009 Subaru Forester Limited, 175hp PZEV model, in Newport Blue Pearl with the Platinum leather interior. We also ordered the cargo liner/tray, cargo cover, mud flaps, and rear bumper cover. Maybe a couple of other minor items, she choose them so I don't even remember. We got the VIP price, which is 2% under invoice, so with freight and all the accessories it came out to $25.2k. We have $1600 Subaru Bucks so that drops to $23.6k plus tax. 6-8 weeks wait, but the cool thing is that if incentives appear by the time it arrives, we get those too. So basically we will pay $23.6k or less. We can't wait. The wife is afraid I'm going to borrow it from her all the time. That fear is justified.
