in the SIA trip. I'd be going solo, so I'd make the drive down/over and back the same day. -Brian

I'd be interested still in the trip to the 'factory' ... also .. I had hesitated to say it in the forum, but we had word about a month ago that my son-in-law (who was slated to go to Iraq in July and was for some unknown reason left on post with his family) was again scheduled to go within the first couple of weeks of November. My daughter and her boys were already planning to come stay with us - probably after Thanksgiving - until he came back. She called today and left a message (again who can say what the logic of the US Army is) that for now .. he is again off the list to go ... that she's sorry she won't be seeing us every day .. but so happy he will be staying with his family ... I do feel for all those families with loved ones in Iraq and elsewhere in the world, but I am selfishly glad that he is not going ... I believe it will not be available to the public for a bit. Since production will be starting on the new model, I think they shut it down. I'll check on when the shut down occurs and we can talk from there. Not sure if I can attend with the number of irons I have in the fire at work, but we'll see! test results from NHTSA getting passed around today. CNN had a blurb and it was also on Good Morning America (I hear). We did very well!! Nothing like some positive news to get the blood flowing! I believe someone linked one of the stories (CNN?) in the Subaru Legacy/Outback discussion. Try these: Subaru Outback named safest vehicle (Big News Network) WQAD Dallas Morning News I suppose there's a press release at NHTSA.gov and perhaps someone has a news link that's better that the overview ones I found.
