I had done that already...however, this morning it seems to be back to the normal settings and is now accepting cookies, including soft chewy chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin.

Thanks for asking, she is going through a rough period at the minute and is pretty depressed.

we go for several weeks when things are good then she gets a reality check as to her limitations and that sends her into a tailspin again. It is an emotional rollercoaster all around. We are going down to see her at Christmas and hopefully she will be a bit more positive by then.
She is checking some options at the minute so she is trying her best with what she has.

  Cheers Pat.

Hi all, a fuel mileage report on my new Legacy. Susan and I drove to Mammoth Cave and then Nashville and home. We drove 400 miles on one tank. According to the fuel mileage computer we did 28.7 mpg. According to my pocket calculator I got one less 27.8. But get this, most of our driving was at 70 mph and how green is the engine? Well I don't even have 900 miles after finishing the trip. Both of my WRXs were able to exceed their EPA estimates by 3 and get 30 mpg but only after they hit 20,000 miles. Getting estimate occured about 3000 miles on each. Got a bit of a breakin ahead of me.

G'day

Today has been the Bathurst 1000 here. It is always an exciting race and has the best in car coverage of any motor race ever.

As usual, it had its special interest. This year, a kangaroo leapt onto the track, colliding with the Jim Richards car that had been on pole position. They patched the car up but it was not well.

Worth looking for it on your sports pages.

Cheers

I'm sure it'll be right there under the NASCAR standings.

Haaa, maybe speed will have it. I like watching the V8 Supercars from down-under on there in the winter.

Caliper Testing by paisan

Well just got back from a nice day at the track yesterday. Was testing a set of calipers from racingbrake.com on the legacy. Hopefully we'll be carrying them shortly. It's always a bit scary being the first to run a particular product on a 500 mile road test plus 100+ miles of on-track.

Results of the 4 piston calipers so far...

Weight: 6lbs each v. 11lbs each for Subaru 4-pot Calipers
Size: Smaller pistons than the Subaru 4-pots, only slightly smaller, however they allow for OEM WRX 16" wheels to clear them w/o spacers.
Performance: As good or better than the 4-piston Subaru Calipers I've been running for 15K miles.
Looks: Bling Aluminum and shiny
Pricing: Looking to be retail in the $500 range w/o pads (It uses the same pads as the OEM Subaru 4-pot calipers)

More info as events warrant! Should be a nice upgrade for Forester/Legacy/WRX/RS etc.

I am beat but the condo looks great! Took almost 4 full days o' painting, 1 sore juice!

I forgot to offer beer, silly me!

The rough part was the "popcorn" texture on the ceilings, yikes.

Managed about 28 mpg on the trip, still can't match my wife's mileage and the Forester was nearly empty!

Patti: if you have a router set up, you may only need to release and renew your IP address.

If you connect directly to the DSL modem, just run the Self Install CD again.
