Yeah, I know I'm posting kinda late but Lime Rock was great despite the weather. I thought it rained a lot at the CSG meet in Lake Placid on 2000. But that was a piece of cake compared to the weather we had at Lime Rock. I figure the next CSG meet we have, we'll probably have a hurricane. Leo and his team were great. I really enjoyed meeting them and seeing all the race cars up close. And the cool thing was, he was really happy to have us there. Pit passes rule!!! Badulah, who won that race with the Audi sedan in the lead? BTW, I was at Barnes & Nobles the other day, and I think I saw the same Audi race car on Car and Driver or Road and Track magazine. Did Leo ever fix the tranny? Did you stay to watch him race? BTW, Kate is one special lady. I'm really impressed with her. When you locked your keys in the car, she went to get help, and she told the guy that she left the keys in the car saving you from the embarassment. Man, she really earned my respect after that. |

Dasaint1: Thank you soooooooooooo very much for posting about me locking my keys in the car. If it were not for your post, I might have forgotten about that episode!! During Monday's GT race, an Audi A6 led the pack from start to finish. I could not believe my eyes. For about 20 laps an NSX TRIED to catch up with him, but it was no use. The Audi beat the snot out of every car on that track. The NSX didn't even finish the race. It just goes to show how well designed the Audi is, and that Quattro is a serious performance advantage. |

Badman, I take it that you didn't stay long enough to see Leo's race. Can't say I blame you--it's really a late start. Anyway, that magazine article I saw on the Audi race car said its packing more than 420 hp, and if it's all-wheel drive to boot, then I'm not surprised it won. It's kinda funny seeing a sedan beat the crap out of the best sports cars in the world-Porsches, Ferraris, Corvettes, etc. |

| Actually I stayed all day long. Leo and his team got the trans swapped in less than 90 minutes. Everything was running GREAT!! Leo managed to move up about 5 places in around 8 or 9 laps, but in turn number 2 the damn shifter broke (B&M Edge Shifter), and he had to reach under the shifter and pull the cable by hand to get it in to gear so he could make it back to the pit. Unfortunately he had to drop out of the race because of it. It was disappointing, but it could have happened to anyone. Needless to say Leo was REALLY pissed, but like I said, it could have happened to anyone out there. | |

O.K. Gang, I've got my reservations at the Best Western, Woodhaven, for 3 nights. Reasonable rates, and all the amenities. The restraunt's not exactly 5 star, but you won't die either. Pool, bubbler, and Sauna were O.K. last year, and the sun deck should be much more useable in July than September. See Ya There!!!!! Skip G. |

| I will be making my arrangements this week. Once I do, I will post them here. | |
| I'm not at all surprised about the Audi sedan. After having ridden in a couple of tweaked-out ones now, they are incredible cars. Kick-ass and smooth as glass. Except for the TT, though, they're not nearly as sharp-looking as the Cougar. | |
| If I had the cash, I would get a TT Roadster (Turbo) in a heartbeat. I love its looks and performance figures. | |
| Charlotte NC would be a good trip for me. I can combine it with some family time - have folks in central NC, about 2 hours away. Interested in further deets on this one! | |
| I'm seriously thinking about going to Charlotte to see Leo race. As the date grows closer I will make a web page for the event. I will keep everyone informed!! | |
