I have to recommend Ladin Lincoln-Mercury in Thousand Oaks, CA for their courtesy. Being in the auto business myself, they took care of me like royalty. If you are in the Los Angeles area and are looking for a Lincoln-Mercury product, feel free to contact me and I will get you in touch with the right people.

For those of you in Tampa who have discovered this site and are thinking about a Cougar, I highly recommend the staff at Stadium. I purchased a '99 Cougar in September of 1998 from Fred Kennedy and now, 50,000+ miles later, the car is still running as good as the first day. In fact, my wife usurped it, but in the process she let me order a second Cougar, which I've loaded to the gills. Fred is still there, though I placed my order with Lorelei Plowshay. But in both cases, their friendliness and the sense of family there is great. Additionally, the knowledge I gained from Edmunds made the ordering process quick and painless.

Not only is the car fabulous, but the service there is great as well. Regular services, special services, recall issues, all are handled quickly and professionally. I recommend getting "Dealer Services" at the time of purchase. All in all, everyone at Stadium Lincoln-Mercury has bent over backwards to keep both car and owner happy. I look forward to taking delivery of my new Cougar and being a 2-Cougar family.

Currently the CSG is sponsoring a Cougar rally in Lakeville, Connecticut at Lime Rock Park Raceway from Friday May 25th to Monday May 28th. The purpose of this meeting is to get together and rally for the Cougar race team, Capaldi Racing.

Capaldi Racing is a member of the SCCA which will be hosting two races during this weekend. Friday will be the race qualifications, Saturday will be the first race and Monday will be the second race.

Our plan is to meet on Friday at a local restaurant and have dinner together. Saturday we will view the first race, Sunday we will relax and kick back with the Capaldi Racing Team, and on Monday we plan to attend the second race. Even if your not a race fan, this should be a GREAT weekend!

Currently Capaldi Racing has acquired 20 race & Pit passes for the CSG. At this point in time we only have 4 left. If you are interested in attending this event, please email me as soon as possible. You can check out all the details at:

I have had nothing but a pleasurable experience from this dealer in Pennsylvania. They are located in Lewistown Pa, which is just south of State College Pa, home of Penn State University. My sellsperson "Rose" have yet to get a last name has been fantastic and their business manager was great too. This is a small town dealer, and with that you get honesty not BS and nice polite people. In fact, just to give you an idea of how "small town they are" when I came in to order my Cougar, the lady helping me asked if I was a relative or a friend of Rose's....

If you are considering buying a Cougar in Pa, at least the Central/Eastern part of Pa, I strongtly recommend you call Lake FML. They are willing to get anything you want in (small lot).

Okay I feel better now, I did my part to pass on a Good Cougar Dealer...

I know the State College area pretty well, as my Father-in-Law was born and raised there. As a matter of fact, his dad was one of the first Constables back at the turn of the last century. His old house is still standing (2 story brick) on Allen St. (If that's the name of the street that T's into the campus) but has been converted to small apartments for students, and looks like crap. It was beautiful at one time

My wife still has a lot of cousins in the area (including two on the Penn State board of trustee's).

We get back once in a while to visit. Did it in '99, and may go again next year, if nothing else gets in the way.

Beautiful area to live. Maybe I'll see you whizzing up and down the mountain someday.

WARNING! Beginning of mini-rant!!

Took delivery of my new Cat on May 1. I love it and, as usual, the dealership has been great. My problems have been with the factory and the transport. I special ordered my Cat, and the litany is as follows: the molding over the door was dented in by what appeared to be strap. I had a banging noise under the car which I thought was a loose exhaust. Instead, it turned out the transporter used the rear wheel struts as an anchor point for chaining the car down and bent one of them out of alignment in the process. It had to be replaced. I've discovered one of the AC vents is defective, closing when the fan is turned to 3 or 4 and finally (Geez, I hope this is the end...) the piece of molding in front of the driver's side side view mirror was broken during installation (the clips which hold it into the panel), and rather than put a new one on, the installer put some double sided tape on it and stuck it back on. Tape doesn't hold up well during hot weather.....Mercury is definitely going to hear about this. I anticipated some problems, but somehow, I didn't anticipate this.

Mini-Rant concludes.....
