I know you posted in regards to this a looooong time ago...but in case you come back....

When I installed the KKM, removed the resonator, and added an aftermarket mini-turbo muffler the hesitation in my Cougar was eliminated.

hopefully someone will reply...

i have a 2002 cougar v6, i just bought it, used, great car, i love it. i want to do some work on it though but i have absolutely NO clue where to start. i read through all these posts and it did help some, but for the most part i still don't know what you guys are talking about.

could you recommend a way for me to learn about this stuff? maybe some reading material or if i could even talk to one of you guys ( yahoo ID: psyoxy) i'd really appreciate it. and if you do recommend books or websites, please remember i have no clue about cars.

i'm definitely all about performance, i'm not looking to make it "pretty", i like the lines now, but i'd like to improve the engine.

thanks guys!!

Borla for exhaust systems, K&N for intake mods. There are other computer chips available such as Superchips. Read all of the back messages on this forum for other tips. SkipG

I have a 1999 cougar. I have a problem because I was told that my flex pipe, connecting my exhaust manifold to my straight pipe was cut. Not only that my catalytic converters were bad. Because I am trying to have a custom car, I don't want to replace the converters. Instead I want to hollow them out and put a whole new exhaust system down there. Only problems are I have O2 sensors behind each converter. What should I do? I need advice on how I should go about doing this. Thanks

I call myself buying a 2.0 L/5 speed stick /cougar, 2001 to save me some money on gas and plus it was a nice price by the seller. I just bought my cougar about 2 months ago. Since then I have tinted the windows, installed a nice ass sound system, some ICW 17in. racing rims, custom exaust, and I have a K&N performance air filter and a Weapon R Cold air intake ordered and should be at my doorstep by tomorrow...but what else can I do for more power for my weak ass 2.0L engine!!!? but I got to admit the gas milage it nice

I just bought my wife a 99 cougar and the moonroof won't open. The sliding mech. is broke. Do I have to replace the whole assembly? Where can I get a new one? Maybe one that is glass.
