I am currently in progress of trying to buy a cargo cover for my '01 Rodeo and having a lot of problems... very unexpected I should say. 4 out of 5 of my local dealers couldn't locate one in Beige color and said they don't exist, which is a complete BS. One dealer did locate it, but after I waited for two weeks and called them to get the status on my order, it turned out to be Back Ordered till end of January. Knowing how good Isuzu service / parts is, I doubt it'll be here even in Jan. I looked around and found one on eBay, but only in grey. I called Honda and they can special order one for Passport, but if it doesn't fit, I'll get stuck with it as it would be a special order - read: not refundable. They said the same item would fit 2000 and 2001 Passport, but I want to be sure it would fit Rodeo as well. Any suggestions? Does anybody knows where to get one? I am thinking about going to Honda dealership and ask somebody to get it out of a used one on their lot to try it out, but I'd rather get an Isuzu one... Local junk yards don't have anything. They basically laugh at me when I say that I need a part for a 2 years old car. |

Pull the ABS fuse and take it to the dealer, they will fix it for free. This is a common problem on the 99 Rodeo. www.alldata.com has a TSB on it. Also do a google search on 99 rodeo abs and you will find the masses of folks with the same problem. -Ryan |

Try st.charles Isuzu. There should be a link in the vendor section on http://isuzu-suvs.com they are the best parts dealer for isuzus in the country and will ship no-charge to you. -mike |

Thanks Mike, I called them up. They only have grey. So far I was only able to locate one dealer who acknowledged the existance of that part in beige. I think I'll call that dealer (they actually the ones who got it backordered for me) and try to get the part number. My guess, though, is that whoever else I call is going to say that they have to order it and then call me back saying it was back ordered. |

As some of you know, I have a 2001 Rodeo S that I bought about a year ago... I have power door locks, and would like to retrofit remote entry. I have two of the remote control "blippers", and I've read the 'programming procedure' (boy, if the desire was to make it tough to accidentally reporpgram it, it sure works !) But I realise that there is probably some sort of receiver unit that I would have to buy and install. The question is: Could it be considered a DIY job, or am I better off letting a dealer handle it ?? any suggestions appreciated best, Mike J. |

| Boris, My 2000 Bronze LSE came with a beige cargo cover. While storing the cover in the garage it fell in an oil change pan with oil in it. Its ruined. I was unable to find anything but gray so far too. So if you find out how or where to get a beige please pass it along. Thanks, David. | |
| I have a 96 Rodeo LS w/ a V6 that I bought used two years ago w/ 80,000 miles on it. It has burned 3 ignition coils on the same cylinder and this time I think the plug was "shot" out of the cylinder and stripped the threads because there was a few ounces of oil spit out from under the coil and I can't seem to get the plug out of the cylinder. I had just changed a burned coil (thinking that was all there was to the problem) and 45 mins later I was driving on the expressway and I heard the rubber boot part of the coil burning (clicking noise) in the cylinder. I looked at it right away and saw the damage. Who knows what I should do next? | |

Need a recommendation for a medium priced ($200- $300) aftermarket CD Player for my '97 Rodeo. I already have the facotory installed "Premium" tape player/radio with a CD button on it, so I'm hoping I can add a CD player fairly easily. Hopefully I can install it in the "accessory pocket", and connect to either the round connector jack on the back of the radio, or the rectangular wiring harness plugged into the back of the factory radio... Any advise will be greatly appreciated. THANKS Mike |

Unfortunatly there are no aftermarket single disk players that will plug into your deck other then the Isuzu one. One option is this Sony FM modulated one. Tune it into 88.7 FM and you can hear the CD: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4YNMTLHBspC/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?i=158CDX1000
Or check Ebay for a used one. I found this one, but I have no clue if it will work with you Rodeo:
Finally you can do a search at www.car-parts.com and you will find a bunch of them at junk yards.
If it was me and I didn't use the tape player I would buy a whole new head unit. More power is a good thing. |
