I have a 1992 Isuzu rodeo with the 3.1L V6 (pretty sure it's the Chevrolet 60 degree) and a 5-speed. i've been researching a lot and i can't seem to find very much performance parts for it. the only place i have been able to find is Calmini. They have lift-kits, exhausts, performance cams and brushguards, but unfortunately the actual engine performance parts are not for my engine. Does anyone know of any engine performance parts for a Chevrolet 60 degree or GM 3.1L that was put into the 1992 Rodeos? |

| Hi everyone. I have a 1989 single cab holden rodeo and i was wondering if anyone has any advice on lowering kits and what is the best way to lower it. | |
|
I have a mechanic looking for the problem but he seems to be at a standstill. He said he has traced it to one wire that is not "hot" which drives the injectors and fuel pump. Anyone have an idea what could be the problem? Thanks

Hi, everyone. As you've probably noticed, we have been trying to refine the discussions into more narrowly focussed topics. Our objective is twofold. We want to make it easier for people seeking specific information about their vehicles to find it easily and without having to wade through hundreds or thousands of postings. To those ends, we will be shutting down the general make/model discussions and work exclusively with specific issues. This requires us to populate the make/model subsections with relevant, interesting and timely topics. Rather than having the hosts simply create boilerplate topics for each make/model, we feel that you, the owner, the make/model enthusiast and the prospective buyer can best judge what those topics should be. You can help by adding a discussion (it's easy!) or suggesting one here. To add a discussion, click on the last link in the "You are here" line at the top of this page. That will take you to the topic page for this make/model. Review the list of topics and click on the "Add discussion" link when you've decided what topic you'd like to add. Follow the directions and you're done! Feel free to add more than one. Just avoid duplicating existing topics and try not to make it TOO specific! Your help and continued participation in the Forums is greatly appreciated! Thanks. |

| We have a '98 Rodeo that is acting up again. In the last three years we've had two new fuel pumps installed, plus an intake manifold gasket. Now it's doing the same old thing once again. It'll turn over good and strong just won't start, but often it will start if my husband hits the gas tank on the bottom with a hammer. We've had three different mechanics tell us they don't know what the trouble is. We don't know what in the world to do no. Anybody have a clue? We're desperate. | |
I have a '99 Rodeo with the same symptoms as your '98 and have also repalced the fuel pump twice, last time with a dealer pump. not sure what the first one was. This last time it ran for approximately two weeks and now it is acting up again. Sometimes it starts and runs all day, other times it just dies on the highway. When it did that I simply lifted up on gas pedal and it just caught up with itself. I can restart it by banging on the gas tank every time, and the repair shop says it can't be a bad fuel pump. any suggestions, I am leaning towards a TPS sensor problem myself.

hello, this post is concerning my 2002 rodeo 4wd lse, 77,000 miles, bought it used in feb 06, ran good with no problems until aug 06 then one day when i was driving down the road at around 60 mph, i noticed it was slowing down, so i first looked at my dash, and the check engine and reduced power light were both on, the suv, would only idle, had no power to move, had it towed to a shop, man checked codes and reset computer, told me it was either a throttle sensor going bad or the computer, but for now its find, drive it on home and hope it doesn't happen again, also this was a very hot day, around 95, no other problems until late sept 06, going to work one morning on the first cool day we had had, same thing happened again, both lights came on, vechicle slowed and wouldn't go, still running but just at a idle, had it towed to another shop, they still have it with no clue as to what to do, only that it's a electrical problem in the wiring harness they think. anyone heard of this happening with another rodeo/passport before, closet isuzu dealer is around 1 1/2 hrs away, but even them have been no help. tks |
