#8291 of 8984 Need Sequoia advise/info. Please help!!
Oct 03, 2004 (7:36 am)
I have been seriously contemplating on buying a new Toyota Sequoia. Here's my dilemma:
1. Is the 42 hp difference bet '04 and '05 significant enough to warrant paying the price difference?
2. I read somewhere that the 2006 model will be a redesign. Please confirm?
3. Can't decide whether to get 2WD or 4WD. I live in Northern VA area where winter is not that rough. Is it worth paying the $2K difference?
4. What's the pros and cons of getting allow wheel packages with 17" vs 16" wheels?
5. Would also appreciate if people would share prices paid on their new Seq.
Sorry for so many questions. Thank you so much for any help anyone can provide.

#8293 of 8984 Where is Navi on SR5?
Oct 04, 2004 (6:56 pm)
I see on the internet that the SR5 is offering Navi as an option, yet I cannot find a 2005 SR5 with Navi in the southeast area. Are all dealers only offering Navi in the Limited model? What is the deal with the woodgrain dash? I prefer the metallic look and all the Limiteds in the southeast are upfitted with the woodgrain. Anyone else having these issues with their area dealers?

Commnets please on the actual performance difference from anyone who has driven the 05 w/ 282 hp vs. the 04 or earlier with 240??
I'm considering a GX470 for which the 2005 won't be out until December and trying to decide if it's worth the wait vs. a good deal on a 2004.
Thanks in advance.
#8295 of 8984 Is Toyota Sequoia Spoiler Functional???
Oct 05, 2004 (5:13 pm)
Is the spoiler on the Toyota Sequoia (or 4Runner for that matter) functional, or is it merely asthetic? I have to say, I think it's really ugly, but, if it enhances performance, I might have a different opinion. Thank you all for your thoughts!

I think its function is to clear the back window not performance. I agree it is not attractive and my back window is never very dirty so I guess it works, but I would like to hear from someone who does not have one!!

I am still here too. My 01 Seq has now 63K and nor major complaints, except the little plastic things that annoyingly fall apart, such as the tool box cover, the seat belt caps, and recently the handle to pull down the trunk lid.
Nice to know everybody is still browsing.

My tailgate and tailgate window are filthy most of the time, just like a city bus. I purchased a spoiler but changed my mind about installing it, because I like the way my SR5 looks without the spoiler attached.

#8300 of 8984 Toyota wants my 2001 Sequoia.

Toyota has called several times saying that their records show I have maintained my vehicle (I do the regularly maintenance at Toyota) and they would like to buy it back. Several months have past and how I get a letter saying they have a special market pricing and financing event and would like to offer me a deal. Is this common practice? Should I see what they have to say? My vehicle is in very good condition (no dents, clean interior). I just don't think I will get any benefit trading in mine for another one.
