It is... mine is similar to keats', just on the longer wheelbase. 2005 was the year that Jeep introduced the Sahara Special Edition Unlimited Rubicon model (1,000 units made) -- all of which were in the Khaki color scheme -- and coincided with the Sahara movie release that briefly featured a number of Wranglers doing what they do best in desert terrain. That said, there just aren't that many in Khaki around.

Very nice picture Keats. It looks great. No bumperettes gives it a much better Jeep look. Sharp! KB2

Love the pic!
I can probably find by searching, but if you get a chance for a quick post, whose rock rails are those? They look like decent steps as well, which is what I'm searching for...

Thanks, drewmeister, those are Jeeperman Trail Skidz. Here's a link: Jeeperman
They are a perfect step and they protect the entire legth of the rocker. I have been extremely pleased with them.

KB2, thanks. I have since added the new Mopar end caps to the front and rear. They give the bumpers a nice finished look. Where are those pics of Rosie?

I know. I sound like a broken record but I still have not purchased a digital camera. It will happen. Go Easy, KB2

Ohhh yeah.... USP Jeeperman Unlimited Skidz ....
They make one for the LJ! I must admit, I'm becoming a Jeeperman fan. This is exactly what I wanted, an actual slider that is useful as a step.
#21120 of 23397 2005 "black tie" Jeep - where to get accessories?
Mar 04, 2006 (7:06 am)
Well, after months of searching, I just bought a 2005 "Black Tie" package Wrangler, black, with about 14K mi on it. I was originally searching for a 1999 or 2000 Jeep (based on posts I made and discussions from this group late last year), but I had a tough time finding exactly what I wanted. Not many to choose from up here. Then I stumbled on this Black Tie model, which I had never heard of before (this is my first Wrangler). It's a bit overboard on the chrome, and probably will make me look like I'm in the midst of a serious mid-life crisis (I'm about to turn 40...), but I did like the look. Plus I liked getting one still under warranty, in the color I wanted, for a good bit less than new.
So my question - where do people go for aftermarket accessories on the web? In particular, a couple of items:
- I need a user's manual
- I am interested in full doors (this one came with the half-height doors; is there a way to "swap"?
- other cool stuff I probably don't even know exists...
Thanks for any advice - and if anyone is curious I paid 16,000 for it.

I never heard of a "black tie" package. What's included?
For an owners manual, go here...
Let's hear some more about the black tie package.

#21122 of 23397 Wheelsdown... it must have been the plugs
Mar 04, 2006 (3:39 pm)
I guess it must have been those old worn out plugs that were causing the misfires on warm re-starts. I wheeled today, and I shut the engine off and restarted it several times today. No rough running.
