Hhmm couple thngs I can maybe think of. What year is your vous? I believe (if I remember correctly) that the LIM gasket problem was corrected sometime on 03' and if you had that problem it may likely show up as dirty residue in the gasket area (external leak) and from my experiance until it gets real bad coolant tends to evaporate so its not an obvious leak when you look. Also I think there is 2 bleed screws in the system (don't know where the other one is). Are you leaving heater on when you bleed it to ensure collant (or air) is flowing through the system?

It is an '02 with 115,xxx miles. Yes there are two bleed screws. The other one is located on the left side of the motor. When I bleed, I have been shutting the car off and bleeding at both spots. I know that when I flushed the system, I didn't get near the amount of coolant in that I took out, so I knew that there had to be air in the system but that has been at least two weeks now. After I bleed out the air, I let the vehicle cool down and then have been putting some coolant back into the reservoir. I have been hoping that it is just a matter of getting all the air out...but it has been happening more frequently.

Anyone know a reputable place to get new key fobs without paying dealership prices?
How about programming them your self?

I'm so sorry that you had this experience. I've been dealing with this dealership for 5 plus years and have sent many friends. We have all had fantastic experience. Even when there was a concern the General Manager addressed it immediately with professionalism and action. I hope you give them another chance. They will do everything to make you happy.

I feel like I ought to comment on my surprise as to how comfortable, luxuriuos and surprisingly well made the Rendezvous is. I have never been a fan. In fact, I dismissed this Buick as a Minivan with doors ever since it appeared. A friend however, dropped an 07 on me to sell for him as his wife died - and in driving it in the meantime, I'm amazed at how refined the handling, suspension and ride are, as well as the quality of the leather in the seats. True to the Buick faith, the plood (plastic wood) is plentiful, but it reminds me of my 82 Park Avenue, which is not bad. The wood steering wheel really helps, I think, with the "feel" of quality. I'm a Lexus owner, and frankly, there is a hint of Lexus in this car.

So, maybe not a convert - but, no longer a critic, at least. I hear they don't make this car anymore - not necessarily a bad thing, but for those around, they aren't bad. YMMV.

after market roof rack by allohak

Does anyone know if an after market roof rack kit is made for a RDV that doesn't have a factory installed rack? I just purchased an "03 to replace a "95 Villager. I would like to be able to use my Thule setup on the RDV. Is it possible to get a factory roof rack installed?

Weird noise under the hood by rdvdave

I have a 2004 rdv FWD with about 45K on it. 75-85% of the time when you turn the car off it makes a whistling or whining noise that last for about 3-6 seconds and it is so loud that people will look at you from across the parking lot. It does seem to happen more when its warm out and your using the A\C or vents but it does happen in the winter also. No dealer around here has heard of the problem and would like to see if anyone knows about this before I take it to them and they tell me after 3 days without a car that nothing is wrong. The only good thing is that it does not seem to affect the car in any way. CAN ANYONE HELP!!!!!!

Thx in advance

I have an '03 RDV with EXACTLY the same problem. I have been to the dealer 6 times with this and each time they say they don't hear the noise...then as soon as I drive away and park - there it is. It DID make the noise once when I had a windshield replaced and the windshield guy said it sounded like a vacuum problem to him. I feel like I need more information before I go back to the dealer, as the dealer's service guy looks at me like he's thinking "yeah, right, lady, sure there's a noise under the hood.....". I'm just thankful now I know I'm not the only one with this weird problem!! (ps also have about 45K on it). I've been living with this problem for a couple of years now because, as rdvdave said, it doesn't seem to affect the car's performance in any way, but it can be embarassing. HELP!

noise on turning by connie31

Last year my 2002 rendezvous began to make a noise when the car made a "sharp" turn. The dealership finally decided it was the water pump and replaced it. The noise continued and it was decided that the water pump was defected and it was replaced. Well, the noise continued and I was told it was normal- some pumps made noise. Now, the noise is louder and is happening on every turn. I can only describe it as a rubbing sound- the mechanics can definitely can hear it as can anyone else. The car is going back on Friday. Other than this, there have been no problems. Has anyone else experience this or heard of this problem? Thanks

Can you describe the noise you hear when you make a turn? Hissing, clanging, clicking, thumping, groaning, ringing, churning, grinding ...?
