I'm not ready to give up on the engineers yet! Do the vents rotate?

Hello,
Congrats on the new Escalade. Just wanted to say I think you made the right choice color wise. I have the same exact one purchased in March 06 when first released and have about 10000 miles on it. It's been flawless in every way and all the tech gadgets work the way they are supposed to. As far as climate control, I already suffered through a long heat wave with temps above 100 and the AC performed flawlessly. You can start the car remotely and by the time you get in it it will have already cooled down considerably. Once you get in and blast the AC and ventilated seats you will be pretty cold. I never even noticed to AC vents although I know what you mean. Anyway, I look forward to your feedback as to how it actually performs in your area. Good luck.

No Hybrid Hummer, but GM President said in the next few years, the hummer brand will be on Biodiesel engines.

that means all of the hummer's.

Are "Real" hummers, just face-lifted versions of the Escalade/Yukon/Tahoe, Colorado, or the mini-van based Equinox. Pretty sad that "Hummer" is going to base a truck off a mini-van chassis.

When I think Hummer, I'm thinking rough, tough, go-anywhere, unfortunately it's more associated with Rodeo Drive than real offroading these days.

2007 ESV w/Navigation - CD problems by erniec1

Hello all! I am the proud owner of a 2007 Escalade ESV w/navigation. When using the CD and moving between tracks, the CD player cuts off about the first second of the song..pretty minor. Just wondering if anyone else has the same issue. Thanks!

Has anyone had a problem with the lenses to the fog lamps falling out? I have a 2005 Escalade and either someone stole them or they fell out, I am just trying to figure out which.

Hey I was wondering if anyone with a 02-06 escalade with onboard navigation, cd changer, xm radio factory unit has put in either a wired FM modulator or auxiliary adapter to plug in your mp3 player. If so, how do they sound and what did you do about the factory unit not having an extra aux input?

07 Escalade 2WD or 4WD by njcaguy

I love the new 07 Escalade and GM did a great job on the revamp. I was going to get an AWD Escalade, but that vehicle is no longer in stock and a 2WD with the same configuration is available at a lower cost.

Do I really need AWD here in Southern CA, where it doesn't snow and hardly rains? I am originaly from the east coast, so can't imagine a SUV without AWD / 4WD, but that is because of the winter season over there.

This vehicle will be my family hauler, so I want all the safety possible, however I question if will ever use AWD here in S. CA and then I swing back and forth about 2WD stability in rain. However with all the other traction and stabilitrack features with 2WD, I believe it should be fine.

I also don't tow anything or go up into the mountains to ski (yet).
Your opinions / comments would be greatly appreciated.
