#3510 of 6769 NEW TRUCK!!!!

Well, finally did it....got rid of my 97 Silverado and purchased a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LT with 8.1 and Allison 5spd auto. with 4.10 gears.
Two complaints, Onstar was a pain to try to setup at dealer and I have to go back as they couldn't download the info to my truck as there were too many clouds blocking the signal...sheez...hope I never have to use it in an emergency...
The other is these metal brackets that are in the passenger seat and rear seat that I guess are for new style car seats or something to attach to. You cannot feel them when you sit in the seat, it just doesn't look very nice when you have nice leather seats with metal brackets sticking out...Oh well don't know how else to explain it, but if you have been in one of these you know what I am talking about.
Man is this thing nice I have a sunburn on my gums from smiling so much. Just have to get 500 miles on her so I can take my boat out!! Pics coming soon, I don't have a digital camera, so things have to be done the "old fashion way".

We have a Rhino place around the dealership, but I guess that is pretty high profit job, so they offer the service themselves. I think Line-X is a fairly new type of liner.

Linex hasnt been out as long as rhino but it has been out for a number of yrs
Reason i chose rhino over line x was because i had a $25 off coupon (came out to be $374 afterwards). The dealership worked with this place. Also got my nerf bars, bedrail caps, and bug deflector all at the lowest prices i could find which was $64 for the rail caps, $49.99 for the bug deflector. They charged $250 for nerfs (install included). COuldnt pass that up

380 for Stainless steel nerfs, 70 for bug guard, install was fifty for the two. spray in was 425 for over the rail, so I didnt need the rail caps. Sounds like you got a decent price on your gear.

I can't get a pic on this site to show what the liner looks like.

I got the following on my 2001 ext-cab Z-71.
Lund Interceptor bug guard ($59).
Westin Platinum CPS (Chrome Plated Stainless) step bars ($425).
Lloyd Ultimat floor mats ($130).
Line-X spray in bed liner (OTR), ($495).
Adrian Steel single lid cross over tool box ($470).
The bug guard looks great, fits great, but has crappy installation hardware. I went out to the local hardware store and bought new/better clips that fit into the square holes in the hood.
The step bars are great, lifetime warranty on the finish too.
Floor mats are nice and plush 3/8" pile carpet, snap in place, and 2 year warranty.
Just got the bed liner last week, very nice, looks extremely durable.
Tool box as 3 year warranty, diamond tread aluminum, .08" thick double reinforced lid, .063" thick box, one of the better boxes in the industry.
