| the other dealers in this area don't want to deal and have told me I would have to wait for an allocation from them too. I have not found one on a dealer lot I am willing to settle for, so my option is to wait, which I am patiently doing, besides this will be used mostly for pulling my camper and boat and they are both put away for the winter. As long as it gets here before spring, I'll be happy. | |

From Oct 00 to may 01 for a 8.1 2500 xcab 4x4 black......Finally gave up a got a 6.0 After seeing the mpg that 8.1s get I guess the 6.0 will do..good luck..........Geo |

It won't be in the northeast zone restrictions rules..It will be in the GM dealer rules. When i bought my 01 ld 2500 in may combining gm employee discount with the rebate and 2.9 gmac interest, GM mastercard bonus points and the gas tank cert. The rules said gas tank cert. max value for me was 250 bucks......... Maybe its changed.....or the dealer don't know...if so good for you.....While your looking around here check the GM gas tank settlement certificate thread righr here in the pickup thread and read others experience with them....Don't let the dealer pull a FAST one on you.........Geo |

| Ordered 2500HD 6.0 ec on April 13. Order was accepted on June 13. Truck finally built on Oct.15. Told truck would be in on Oct 28. Now told truck would be in Nov. 7. Who knows. I have lost interest at this point. Just beware and check your order every once in a while and make sure that a certain option isn't holding it back. You could eliminate that option if you want and it will speed up delivery. In my case it was the dual batteries that held up the truck 6 times. Anyway sorry to bitch and good luck.. | |

I hear ya....I waited 7 months..took a 6.0 instead NOW !...they have 8.1 allies (almost) EVERYWHERE on the lot and they are discounting them !!!!!!!!!........geo BTW: No regrets either.... |

Well it has been a while since I really posted (1year). I had a 2000 1/2 LT, etc... sold it 2 months ago. Just ordered a 2500HD... loaded 8.1L/Allison etc... I ordered it on Tuesday Oct 30th, today the guy who does the ordering (we built and ordered it together) called me and said we have a tenative TPW of 11/19/01!! Hope this stands, but if not I'm not in a hurry. We'll see. Kyle |

What color flairs do you think you'll get ? Something to think about !! Hunter you are lucky...nice body color ones ! |
|
| If I can believe the sales literature, it says Polo Green Metallic and flares same color. I guess it's just going to be a surprise. After they make you wait for so long, you won't care anyway. | |
| GOOD POINT ! | |
| Any 3500 owners? Being that it comes only in the DRW configuration. I'm thinking about getting one, probably not locally cause there are none on the dealer lots. Wonder how it rides empty as compared to the C/K. | |
