?. Did you need to re-adjust the springs on your rv---our RV dealership had to flip the springs because the F250 4x4 was just to high..Even with a 2" block, it appeared to be too high. Are you saying that you have the necessary 6-8 inches between the underside of your 5th wheel and the top of the rails of your truck....because we had our truck measured at the RV shop....no way could we have hooked up the RV, at least without flipping the springs...and we may even have to lower the F250 by 2". Just to make it securely towable. What's your opinion...because if we lower the truck, maybe we could have the RV dealership reverse the springs....but it does not appear to be an option...any thoughts!!

Just got my F250SD XLT CC V10 4x4 and am trying to figure out the best place to install my electric trailer brake controller. Any ideas?

To D Lake ... I installed mine right above the 4x4 lever. If you have the esof, you'll see the flat spot that I mean. I use a Draw-tite digital rather than a Tekonsha though, so it doesn't matter what position it is in.

TNT2.... THANKS FOR THE ADVICE. I KINDA FIGURED THAT WAS MY BEST BET AFTER I REALLY SPENT SOME TIME DRIVING IT AND THEN POKING AROUND UNDERNEATH. PUT ON 600+ MILES THIS WEEKEND, MAINLY BACKROADS, FROM OHIO TO TENNESSEE AND BACK. WHAT A SWEET RIDE FOR SOMETHING SO STOUT...

That place on the lower dash directly above the transfer case shift lever is where I will most likely mount the Tekonsha Sentinel. The other location I am considering is a 3"x4" place on the upper dash that may be for ESOF buttons or some diesel option my truck doesn't have. Useful info:4x4, crew cab, longbed, Lariat, V10, 4spd auto, manual hubs and transfer case shift, 3.73ls, trailer tow pkg. Any body have a better spot? Greg

GREG - MOUNTED MY DRAW-TITE DIGITAL IN THE INDENTATION ABOVE THE TRANSFER CASE SHIFTER. WORKS GREAT, EASY TO REACH, EASY TO WIRE. MAKE SURE TO PULL THE PANEL AWAY WHEN DRILLING JUST TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T KNICK ANYTHING. DIDN'T TAKE IT ALL THE WAY OFF, JUST PULLED IT OUT ENOUGH TO SEE BEHIND IT. FORD'S WIRING PACKAGE MADE IT A SNAP TO INSTALL. HOPE EVERY OTHER MODIFICATION IS AS EASY. TO D LAKE

i have not been back here in a while since I learned about www.ford-diesel.com. It has a lot of great stuff. I know I sound like a commercial but I am just a user. There are SD mechanics and ford engineers and truck designers. I know that Ford watches the pages and forums as well. The bed hight has been discussed for a long time and the first fix remove the 4 inch blocks was redone and they now put in 2 inch blocks bt need to change out the brake lines (too short). A lot of info on turbo bolts falling out on the Turbo Diesel. It is not only PSD but lots of V10 guys and 5vr info as well. Check it out. You will like it. There are sections on Cat delete and chip performance. How to fix the driver side convex mirror lift kits, oil discussion(way too heated) oh well. I log on every day and learn something as well.

How well does the Electronic Transfer Case hold up with the F350 4X4 CC v10 3.73 SRW?
