Rsht
Can you please clarify. Valley Honda is in Aurora, IL. There is another Honda dealership in Naperville, IL as I know. Which one did you buy from? Was it brand new 2005 Odyssey EXL-RES. It seems like you got this van for atleast $ 1000 below invoice which is amazing. Also I'll greatly appreciate if you can give the breakdown of the total price. What was the price including destination but excluding taxes and other fees? Thanks.

Looking for a good deal and dealer in boston metro west/north area. Has anyone had good recent deal on EX-L or TOuring--no NAV, no DVD? What did you pay and what "packages" did they insist you take with your purchase? Thanks

Haven't bought yet - planning to do it week of the 27th. Doesn't look like there are many Twin Cities experiences out there!

Price comparison by jam4

It will be easier to understand and compare prices if everybody on this forum mentions the price including destination but excluding taxes and other fees. Taxes and fees usually varies from place to place and are non -negotiable.
This way we can compare apples to apples.

I would pay 1400 over invoice- I just don't understand why a dealer wouldn't simply fill out an order form for $1000? Not trying to be stubbort, jus hoped someone in the U.S. would do it. That woud give me an excuse to take a vacation to pick it up! Thanks for the response

ISO Oddy EXL-RES in So. CA....Best Deal! by gary

I'm about to take the plunge and purchase a new Oddy as Baby #3 = MINIVAN!!

I'm both a Costco and AAA member and have inquired via both services and sent emails via Honda.com and Edmunds.com.

Basically, I've received 3-4 responses at or near $29886 plus tx, lic, doc fee...includes $515 destination fee. This is about $500 over invoice assuming invoice price is $29386.

Is this price pretty much the norm these days for southern california? It seems the only negotiable portion of the deal will be with accessories, warranties, etc.

Please advise if any one has seen better prices in the area for a new EXL-RES.

Thanks for a great forum!!

Here is what I got so far:

Prices MSRP Invoice Destination

LX $24,995 $22,586 $515
EX $27,995 $25,012 $515
EXL $30,295 $27,034 $515
EXL_ DVD $31,895 $28,472 $515
EXL_R&N $34,095 $30,449 $515
Touring $34,495 $30,628 $515
Touring_RN$38,295 $34,043 $515

To be honest with you, I forgot where I got it from. Somewhere from the internet, vaguely remember that it was a realiable site. Personally, I am planning to buy an EXL w/ or w/o DVD.

Good luck,

I live in the Twin Cities and plan to buy an EX-L-RES soon. I will add my numbers and experience to this site.

Out of curiosity, are you waiting until the 27th to help your negotiations with a dealer trying to get some additional deals before the close of the month? I am planning the timing of my purchase so am interested in what others are doing.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. It seems like you paid $100 over invoice, which is really a great deal. It is also good to know that there are no other administration or dealer fees, etc., that some other dealers would charge. I happened to call them yestarday and they seem to willing to win my business. One of the options that I was given is to buy a EX-L and have a DVD player installed. I am wondering if that would be good idea or not. I will post another message just to get feedback on that. But, once again, thank you for your feedback!
