I contacted 12 dealships in the San Diego area (Cush – Escondido; Cush - Mission Gorge; Norm Reeves – Temecula; Pacific – San Diego; Ball – National City; Poway; Tipton – El Cajon; Fuller – Chula Vista; Diamond Valley – Hemet; Weseloh – Capistrano; and Family – Santa Margarita). Replying to: geoffn (May 15, 2005 2:43 pm) I think you got a great deal. I just bought an EXL R&N from Honda North in Clovis for $32,810 ($2000 off MSRP), so you beat me in price. Clovis is just north of Fresno. I also had a simple transaction, easy in and out. Wish I had read your post before making this deal, I would have pushed harder for a better price --- but definitely in the Bay area the most I could get was $1000 off of MSRP, and this was after abou 3 weeks of internet e-mails, calling,etc. It's worth the 2.5 hr drive to save another $1000. Paid $25450 plus tax/title on May 21 for 2005 EX cloth with mud guards in southwest Ohio, Hidy Honda. Best deal starting with internet quotes from 5 dealers in the area. Thanks to all for the useful info on this board.
