We just purchased our Touring/Navi/Res at Tampa Hondaland. What an easy, easy experience. No hassles, no trying to pull anything over on us...just easy and smooth. I am so use to being poised and ready for the kill at a dealship. It was that way when we purchased our MDX. This was effortless. Our purchase price was $37, 400.00. I worked with John Moreley. They threw in, at my request, the moon roof visor, mud flaps, cargo tray, all weather mats and the third row sunshades. They also were running a special for a free 2 night 3 day cruise, so we got that also! Then they gave us our first oil change free and a very nice car care kit filled with cleaners. They were aiming to please. Anything we needed, they were there to help. The car is brand new off the assembly line. They called every few days on it's status. It took about 2-3 weeks to receive the car, from when we put down a down payment. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, but it never did. I told them what TMV said we should pay and that is what they agreed to it. I would just say that you should know exactly what you are willing to pay and what accessories you'd want before going in. It's white with ivory leather......... I am very impressed. The car is a beauty. Extemely happy with our purchase and experience. A breath of fresh air! Jo

I will be buying a Touring R&N in 3-4 weeks. I started contacting dealers this week. I requested a quote from the Costco Auto Program, which was returned at invoice + $2750 (had to go to the dealer and listen to the pitch to get the Costco price). However, I received two additional quotes from different dealers, roughly $100-$200 cheaper than the Costco price! My best deal to date is $41,500 out-the-door for the following: - 2005 Odyssey Touring R&N - Silver Pearl Metallic w/gray interior - Cargo Mat - Cargo Tray - Mud Flaps I am in the San Diego, CA area. If anyone can give me advice and/or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I will keep the board informed, as I will buy in a few weeks - I am hoping for under $40k out-the-door. Odyss

Just FYI.....I live in the Bay Area where I was quoted $500 over MSRP by one dealership for the RN. I went to another dealership in the East Bay that quoted me $33,800 ($1,000 off MSRP). I was also referred to Clawson Honda in Fresno where I ended up making my purchase. I paid 32,160 including destination. They were great! I rented a car and drove down where I was picked up in my new Odyssey, spent 30 minutes with the paperwork and briefing on some of the features and was on my way! They were friendly and offered no surprises once I was there.

Replying to: plasody (May 13, 2005 7:38 pm) in the area were all working in the high 35 low 36 range for the Touring R&N. But, the stipulation was that we had to buy something on their lot and had to do it that weekend, Happened to be April 30th. We also didn't have a trade. College Park Honda had 4 on the lot 2 silver, 1 slate green, 1 dark green and that was the Touring R&N. My wife had wanted a Red but we didn't see it anywhere and College Park Honda had a ton of Odysseys in stock every color. Well we get there they take us to the lot and saw the vans, it just so happened they also had an Ocean Mist that my wife had liked before it just wasn't in their computers. So they had 5 Touring R&N's on the lot my wife like the Slate Green, and 1 hour later we were done and driving away with the car. Many other dealers only had 1 of the Touring R&N on the lot if any. Jim Coleman Honda in Howard County also had 4 Touring R&N on the lot also had a slate green with olive interior but was about 2 grand higer in price and wouldn't budge. Said that if they sold it for any less they wouldn't get their allotment of vechicles next month. We dealt with the internet division and it's been 2 weeks. They were supposed to call because we do have a we owe on a small fix but we haven't heard back from them about that. But, the buying it went fine, took about 2-3 hours including a demo of the van and the nav system. |

I just purchased a plain ( No Leather) EX in Atlanta from Hennessey Honda in Woodstock, GA. I paid $27,500 OTD with all taxes. I live in Cobb county so we have 5% tax. This was a very smooth deal. I offered 27,500 OTD and at first the dealer wanted an extra $400. I said that this was my final price. Two minutes later he accepted my offer. I did not do any negotiations over the internet. I just went to a dealer in the evening, test drove the car and purchased it. I also test drove Toyota and Nissan minivans. They were both cheaper then Honda, but Honda is well worth the extra money. Now two week later I am still very happy with this purchase.
