1st of all, can you define 'a great price'? Based on my experience, 'great price' doesn't exist in either of these dealers.
2nd, I have never heard a single Honda owner praised these dealers. Quote from one of my friend,"We don't have a good Honda dealer we can trust in this area (Naperville/Lisle) for service."

Real story from another friend who sent his 2003 Odyssey to Lisle for the transmission recall, First they ignored Honda's guidance and made the fluid bypass hose too long. This caused the hose to bend and restricted the normal flow of the Tranny fluid. Worse, they unscrewed one of the bolts from the transmission but forgot to put it back. When my friend asked them why there was a missing bolt, the service manager told him,"By design, there was never a bolt in this place." Fortunately, my friend is a very careful person. He took a few pictures prior bringing the car in for service. In one of shoots, it was clear there was a bolt on the Tranny. With sold evidence, they finally admitted they forgot to put back the bolt.

If you are looking for good price and friendly service, give Community Honda a try. It is a little far but I think it is well worth it. Please check my previous thread for additional information. The alternative way is to use nearby dealers for basic serivice, but still you want to make sure they do their job right before you leave.

Did you get $750 over invoice in the LA area for a Touring R&N? or, without DVD and NAVI?

In Orlando FL, was just quoted $32,800 incl the Destination charge. Slate Green Metallic w/ olive leather. Edmunds TMV is $33K, so think I am in good price range. Equates to $1436 over invoice (4.5% over invoice) and just about $2K under MSRP. Thought and opinions welcome before I make decision. Thanks

EXL w/RES and NAVI in So. Cal by mcdowd

After going out to about 25 dealers in So.Cal (San Diego, OC and LA) the best price I was able to find on an EXL w/RES and NAVI was $32990 (incl. destination) which is $1638 over invoice. I told all of the responding dealers - thanks, but call me when you can come down to $32350 (incl. destination) which is $1K over invoice. Also, the car offered at that price was Silver.

I am betting that as Memorial Day and the end of Q2 draw nearer, that someone will have a bogey they need to hit.

Cheers.

I had an absolute AWESOME experience at Norm Reeves in Cerritos. Nobody else could tough their offer. Worth the drive. Did everything over internet and emails. Got an exl for invoice thru internet dept. If you pay 500 over you'll still have a great van at a great price. I got mine right when the dealers invoice went up and they honored the quote. so expect to pay 500 over.
post your email address and I'll email you more details if you'd like.

If that figures includes the "dealer fee," it's not a bad price for Central FL. You might try the store in Daytona Beach, it seemed to have the best prices when I canvassed dealers a couple of months ago.

Please don't ask others to e-mail you for more info. Part of being a part of a vibrant, online community is having the discussions online where everyone can benefit from the questions and answers. Therefore, we highly discourage "email me" posts as we like to have the discussions take place in our Forums and not in email. When questions are answered in email, everyone else in the discussion loses in the opportunity to learn and benefit from the exchange.

Also, posting your email address in a public forum where search engines and spiders crawl content, your address can end up on numerous "spam" lists.

Ive weighed in once on this chain already, but following up again re price - Joliet agreed with no fuss at all to the EX-L with RES (midn Blue) for 30,386, inclusive of the 515.00 dest. They were a pain to deal with on accessories and trade as I noted in my earlier post, but this price was well under what a coworker paid 2 weeks prior at Community Honda. The speed at which they agreed to match this email quote (I didnt tell em the email quote I got from a different dealer EXCLUDED that 515.00 - small victory there...) tells me that should be the MOST you pay. No harm in knocking a few bucks off to open the negotiations...

When I bought my van(EXL-RES) I went through the Honda site and blasted to the 30 dealers listed. I've noticed that small town dealers are more willing to do dealer trades if the don't have it ready.

I bought mine from Fenton Honda, Ardmore, OK. I recommend you try them and Jack O Diamond, Tyler, TX. Someone from Houston took my recommendation and bought a Touring+NAV from Jack O. You may have to search the posts around March-April time frame.

As for local dealers, I've noticed that they aren't predictable, their prices fluctuate widely (quote MSRP first and then say they match). Some of them have useless Internet Only prices which are a joke since they want you to come by the dealership to chat.

By the way, I did all my dealings over e-mail, phone and fax. The only time I went to the dealer was to pick it up.

Good luck with your search. If you want more info drop me an e-mail.

Paid $26,500. No haggling. There was some attempt to quote me without destination charge, but they immidiately backed up from that after I have expressed amusement. As they had color I wanted (ocean mist) sitting right there in a dealership near my home, decided it is a good enough deal. Their business seems to be on a slow side, but then I always buy cars in May - seems like the best time.
