Quote from one of my friend,"We don't have a good Honda dealer we can trust in this area (Naperville/Lisle) for service." Real story from another friend who sent his 2003 Odyssey to Lisle for the transmission recall, First they ignored Honda's guidance and made the fluid bypass hose too long. This caused the hose to bend and restricted the normal flow of the Tranny fluid. Worse, they unscrewed one of the bolts from the transmission but forgot to put it back. When my friend asked them why there was a missing bolt, the service manager told him,"By design, there was never a bolt in this place." Fortunately, my friend is a very careful person. He took a few pictures prior bringing the car in for service. In one of shoots, it was clear there was a bolt on the Tranny. With sold evidence, they finally admitted they forgot to put back the bolt. If you are looking for good price and friendly service, give Community Honda a try. It is a little far but I think it is well worth it. Please check my previous thread for additional information. The alternative way is to use nearby dealers for basic serivice, but still you want to make sure they do their job right before you leave.

In Orlando FL, was just quoted $32,800 incl the Destination charge. Slate Green Metallic w/ olive leather. Edmunds TMV is $33K, so think I am in good price range. Equates to $1436 over invoice (4.5% over invoice) and just about $2K under MSRP. Thought and opinions welcome before I make decision. Thanks

After going out to about 25 dealers in So.Cal (San Diego, OC and LA) the best price I was able to find on an EXL w/RES and NAVI was $32990 (incl. destination) which is $1638 over invoice. I told all of the responding dealers - thanks, but call me when you can come down to $32350 (incl. destination) which is $1K over invoice. Also, the car offered at that price was Silver. I am betting that as Memorial Day and the end of Q2 draw nearer, that someone will have a bogey they need to hit. Cheers. |

Replying to: twinwrkz (May 07, 2005 2:30 am) I bought mine from Fenton Honda, Ardmore, OK. I recommend you try them and Jack O Diamond, Tyler, TX. Someone from Houston took my recommendation and bought a Touring+NAV from Jack O. You may have to search the posts around March-April time frame. As for local dealers, I've noticed that they aren't predictable, their prices fluctuate widely (quote MSRP first and then say they match). Some of them have useless Internet Only prices which are a joke since they want you to come by the dealership to chat. By the way, I did all my dealings over e-mail, phone and fax. The only time I went to the dealer was to pick it up. Good luck with your search. If you want more info drop me an e-mail.
