I was very explicit that I was going in, paying no more regardless of the extras. Now here is the kicker, evidently another sales person sold the one I was working the deal with while I was on the phone with my sales guy. They are bringing another in for me to pick up tomorrow. I will definitely let you know how it all pans out. Regardless, I am just glad to know what kind of deals others are getting their Odyssey's for. I had actually read your post and got quotes from Fenton (OK) and Quintana (Paris, TX) and other dealers outside of DFW but they gave quotes the same as the local so I didn't pursue it further. I wasn't looking for the EXL-RES so maybe they are willing to move more on that model than just the plain EXL. If all works out, I will be getting the EXL right at invoice (based on the new invoice price of course) or about $400-500 over old invoice. Replying to: dbroyles (Mar 01, 2005 10:09 am) I visited David McDavid yesterday. The salesperson told me that any model with RES(Touring or EXL) would go for MSRP!! He was willing to sell the EXL for a couple hundred less than MSRP, but not the Touring because he says it's in short supply. I'm surprised to read you were able to get the Odyssey for invoice, even if it doesn't have RES. What was the price they quoted you for RES (if they did)? Thanks. I have sent out about 20 emails for quotes this week but the lowest offer I have gotten was $31,600 + TT&L. Could you share any dealers in the area that you have worked with that you think have been fair? It sounds like we are facing the same challenges here in the Midwest and could maybe learn from each others experiences so far. I will travel to Ohio or Chicago if I have too but would rather find a deal locally. Email me so we can compare notes (my email is in my profile).
