Okay, for those of you trying to find a deal in FL, this was my experience: I was going to fly up to and drive down from AutoFair, because their prices were soooo much better than down here. But then I decided that I was willing to pay $500 to avoid that trip; I e-mailed 13 dealers in North Central FL, telling them I'd pay Autofair's price + $500. Most of the dealers that replied said no way, but three said they were willing to go with that price. The salesman with Jon Hall Honda (Daytona Beach) seemed the most straightforward, and we went with him. He got the red LX we wanted in a day, but said that the least accessorized red van he could find in the area had mudguards and pinstriping - hence would cost an extra $100. Maybe I'm naive, I felt he was being honest, and we agreed to the price: $23,849 for everything but tax and tags ($748 over invoice) -- not a fantastic deal, but not bad for FL, I think. We made the purchase yesterday, and everything went smoothly. |

I am ready to purchase after a few weeks of shopping. The lowest price I have received to date, including destination, dealer prep, etc. were as follows (all via the internet). Invoice (increased Feb 14th): $29,386 (inc. dest) Team Honda: $30,276 Gwinnett Honda: 30,335 Has anyone come any closer to $500 over invoice? I'm holding out for $500 over invoice. |

Yesterday, we purchased an EX-L w/RES from Dick Brooks in Greer, SC. Dealt with internet contact person. Drive away price was $29,986.00 plus $105 for splash guards. Price excludes sales tax. I hope this helps persons in NC/SC/GA. They were great to work with!

To me, it's a fair price (I've been using that dealership for service and their service department had saved me many $100 over the years) If you haggle, you can get a popular equipped model and color at autofair prices in most MA dealerships. Especially with all the #$ |

This is my experience with the dealers you are dealing with.. McDavid Frisco: THey start with a price close to MSRP and say they will match a competing offer. But they add accessories on the van. John Eagle: Provided a decent quote. Not low enough. Lute Riley: I'm so upset with the internet sales person, I didn't even bother asking them for a competitive quote. They seem to be a bit arrogant. Vangergriff: The internet dept never gives out a price. Always want's you to come to the dealership. Huggins: Their prices see-sawed in a month. From 900 over invoice to 1900 over invoice. So I don't know what's going on there. The best deals I got for my EXL-RES was from out of town. Fenton Honda of Ardmore (400 approx over invoice) and Jack O' Diamonds of Tyler( 500 approx over invoice). Depending on what part of dfw you live in they are about 2-3 hour drive. But with the $700+ difference in prices, I had no problem driving. Someone on this board followed my suggestion and got a good quote from Jack O. I think it was around $600 over invoice for a Touring(? + DVD + NAV). Good luck. I personally would do business with dealers who quote a low price versus those who quote a high price and drop it for a competing offer.

Including my own, that will be 3 EXL's at invoice. * One purchased at $900 over invoice. Model not reported back to me. * One purchased an EXL with RES. Price not reported back. wesumc, are you one of the members that I emailed? So seems like Dick Brooks is still worth looking into for those that live in NC, SC, and GA. If you are interested in getting the list of quotes that I received and the contact at Dick Brooks, just send me an email. I will be happy to share it with you.
