Sure, my first post mentioned it was at Kendall Honda in Euguene. You would know WA taxes better than me since I'm from OR, but I'm guessing you'll have to pay WA sales tax no matter where you buy it from. It's only people in OR that buy in WA that don't have to pay sales tax. Unfortunately, it doesn't work the other way around.

Touring with DVD/NAV Production by bobbobo

Anybody have any insight into why these are in such short supply, my local dealer has about 8 Odysseys on the lot, but only one Touring with Nav/DVD coming in in the next month.. seems the same at most dealers around NoCal...

Does anyone know if more production is expected?

I visited Rute Riley Honda last weekend, their price
for EXL is 28000+TTL. I got a quote from John Eagle
for 28300.

I am itching to sign the deal, but I would love to
have my family to take a choice of the color this
weekend.

Guys... Am I getting a good deal? It is $450
over invoice, I still hope people have seen
invoice dealers in DFW.

Looking to buy the Honda EX model. Live in Walpole, MA area and trying to see what prices are good out there. Autofair.com in NH has prices around 26,227. Any local dealers out there that have similar prices? Would rather get the car in MA, since more convienent. Did my homework and ready to hit the dealerships, but would appreciate any advice as to what market down here is getting. Also been a few years since buying new, any info on documentation charges would be appreciated as well. Thanks

That is the same deal I am negotiating now with John Eagle and David McDavid. I have been communicating with a few in the area and some dealers have flat out told me they won't meet it. I am thinking that is about as close to invoice that any of them want to get. So to me that says it is a good deal.
Beware of Lute Riley...we bought a car from them several years back and they tried adding in extras once I got there. Before visiting, get the confirmed drive out and find out how many vehicles they have at that price. Hopefully their way of dealing has changed.
If you want contacts from the other dealers I am talking with, I can give them to you. John Eagle has been great so far. David McDavid is more convenient so I am thinking we will be making the deal with them.

We are planning on buying in the next couple of days. Total drive out is $29,982. Is that about what you are getting?

dbroyles,

Thanks a lot for your information.

I heard bad stuff from Rute Riley from my friend
as well. Actually, I am not expecting much, the
28000+TTL looks good and fair in the DFW area.

I will wait and see how much trick they will
put into the paper once I have the color decided.

Although there are some people who is willing
to bid up the price, dealers are having too much
expectation on the profits.

For those who need contact person for
Rute Riley, I can certainly offer that to you.

Honda had stated last year September when they rolled out the present model that the Touring was to be around 12% of total production, probably because their is so much packed into it that it must slow the assembly line down a bit, they also target it at the empty nest crowd who "apparently have the deep pockets to spend over 40 grand and last but not least the profit margin on this Trim line is obscene so the both Honda and the dealer really make out well on the bottom line.
Hence the extreme reluctance to discount it and by the way the Silver Pearl I own is worth every penny imho, beautiful job on ergonomics and drive experience compared to the 2002 and 2003 I had before.

I would expect about the same price (28K+TTL). But as you said, there might be tricks which I would hate to see.
