I had 16 on delivery. One thing the dealer mentioned is that if the van has say 500 miles on it, the warranty starts from 500 not from 0. So your 36000 mile warranty would run to 36500. |

In my opinion, small town dealers offer better prices compared to their metroplex kin. For some reason the metro prices were all clustered together in the same range. |

| Just purchased a midnight blue Odyssey EXL with DVD/RES for $30,300 last night at Tipton Honda in San Diego. Included at that price were wheel locks, a cargo tray and splash guards. All negotiating was done over the phone and I was in and out of the dealership within a hour and a half. Great experience with the sales and finance staff, would highly recommend. | |

First is simply my curiousity...second, and most importantly, is for any others in AZ (Phoenix) who are in the market for an Odyssey. Here is how it broke down... -- $29,600 total purchase price -- I was trading in a 2000 CR-V. Kelly blue book on it in "good" condition was $10,200. It had a cracked windshield and the black molding on the back was scraped. They gave me $10,500 for the trade. -- Everything I could find down here for rates on the Odyssey from various dealerships was 4.9 for excellent credit. They first came back at 5.29 or something and I explained that I knew I could beat that. They couldn't beat through Honda financing, but their finance guy outsourced it through another lender and I got 4.19 for 60 months. (although I opted to go with 4.54 for 66 months, just to lower the payments a bit more) So, in a nutshell, $29,600 for an EXL, they gave me $300 over book value on a trade, and 4.54% for 66 months....now for the experts....was it a good deal like I believe it was? I ended up purchasing the vehicle at Earnhardt Honda in Avondale and it was a great experience...great people...great sales guy, etc. Thanks for your input! Darin |

Replying to: fareal (Feb 28, 2005 11:54 am) And I was thinking lapnorm1 bought a Touring+DVD+NAV!!!!! Read the title carefully, that price was for an EXL-RES which is the same as a EXL-DVD. So relax don't burn up too many brain cells thinking you can get an EXL-RES-NAV for that price. |

Freeman offered best initial price that was then beat by John Eagle. Rusty Wallis and David McDavid (Frisco) seemed pretty straight up though they didn't give the best price up front they seem to be willing to compete. We plan on buying in the next week so I will let you know how and with whom we go.
