Replying to: devanman (Feb 13, 2005 12:23 am) So went to South Bay to shop around dealer#1 800 under MSRP for EX dealer#2 1001 over invoice for EX (he matched the quote I got via email from a North Bay dealer) dealer #2 had more of the EX-Ls than the EX and no gray color interior on the EXs. He had olive interior ... any feedback on the olive int ? ... I liked it but thought it was prone to getting soiled like the ivory interior so wanted gray. Asked dealer#2 about EX-L with gray int, his best offer was 1250 over inv. So am waiting to hear back from some other dealers.. lets see.

And, yes, I am having a hard to justifying spending so much money on a minivan, good as it might be. |

Someone awhile ago posted looking for prices paid in the MD/VA/DC area. I Just completed a very good transaction on a Slate Green Metallic EXL-RES at Honda of Bowie. Many thanks to the contributors of this board, which I think helped me negotiate a $29872 + Dest + Process Fee + Tax + Tags deal. $31432 over-the-curb. Negotiated the price over e-mail/phone with a very, very, good sales lady. Always returned calls, prompt e-mails, and no surprises when I got to the dealership (about an hour drive). Although the ~2 hours to seal the deal was excruciating with a fussy infant, it was not unrealistic considering the test drive for the missus, and the sales lady going over the features, etc. No hard sell on the extended warranty or Scotchguard. Not the best deal on the board, but I was satisfied. Also, Shockley Honda in Frederick, MD could beat the price and had NO process fee, but the wait was until the end of February. Too long for us as our Jeep sold surprisingly quick, leaving us with just one car, so we needed to buy fast. Again, many thanks to the contributors, without it we would all be paying MSRP or above!! It is truly a wonderful van. Good luck to all!! |

| I just wanted to follow up on my previous post (this will be my last) to let folks know that I went to the DMV on Friday to register the Touring R&N Ody that I bought in OR here in CA. No problems at all, the emissions isn't an issue as it's labelled as meeting CA's standards. I did have to get a smog check as CA requires ALL vehicles coming into the state to be smogged, but other than that I was in and out of the DMV in about 15 minutes with my regs and plates in hand. | |

I am getting closer to finding my answer but need some advice. I have 3 kids and am in the car it feels like more than my house. So here it goes.. We bought a 2005 Sienna and I had so much back pain and then my legs/feet went numb. (I have back problems). Luckily we were able to get a truck for my husband and now I am driving his car. So I am looking again. I new the seats in the Sienna were short and not supportive under thigh but until I was in the car over 45 minutes I never had experienced that. So now I am trying to figure out if I should buy Odyessy or Sequoia. I had an Odyessy a few years ago, it was nice but seats were not great. Just wanting to know from people who have experienced or had people they know experience both vehicles and there recommendations. I realize that everyone's back is different and I have tried this way of looking at stuff... Advantages of Odyessy Better gas NIce looking design of vans Great ratings (however people in forums complain) Sliding van doors, for better in/out. Advantages of Sequoia I think maybe a little more comfortable 4x4 SUV and not a "minivan" Sit higher Great ratings as well

Replying to: jeezaloo (Feb 13, 2005 1:57 pm) They were the lowest - 1500 over inv for EX-L but matched the 1002 over inv that I had received today from another dealer.I had shopped around to get a deal based on their low quote. I asked for the wheel locks (which I have to get installed tomm) got that too in the deal. They offered extened warranty and lojack but were optional. so declined. I would say the entire process was painless! So Bay area ppl I would recommend purchasing from Jim Doten Honda - Berkeley. |

I am about to take delivery of a 2005 Touring with NAV/RES. The salesman who sold me the van has said her owner does not discount anything from the Honda Care packages as he also runs an extended warranty company. He wants his salespeople to push his own policies. My salesman was nice enough to tell me to try Curry Honda or some other places, stating she cannot in good conscience offer $1850 as a "good" price for the 100,000 miles/7 year/0 deductible Honda care deal. Other than Curry, which dealerships should I contact for the extended warranty? Thanks. |
