They held the check for a month and never deposited it. It basically, according to them, "held my place in line." When I tried to get them to meet the new deal, I was told two people were in line after me. |

To be sure, contact whatever state or local agency handles your titling process and find out the definitive answer. I will say that I (an Ohio resident) bought a new car in Kentucky last year and the dealer was well versed in the concept (as that is the law in Ohio and I got the credit IN OHIO even on an out of state transaction). |

My 2 experiences with that dep't have been very positive --offered loaner even though we didn't buy there, washed our filthy van each time, car washer even told us to stop by even if we weren't getting service and he would wash our van in 5 min. for free. On the sales end, I dealt with a very nice and accomodating salesperson, whose name I will be happy to give you if you email me. Unfortunately, they were $3,100 more on a RES/NAV than I was being offered in Ohio (see post 8389) and manager wouldn't close gap. If you want to save another $500 after shipping and don't mind having the car shipped, it may be worth a call to Ohio. I suspect on an LX that Scott will match the Martin quote. (I had heard that Scott had a reputation for not matching the cheapest prices, but they were offering decent prices on a Pilots few weeks ago.) There have been a number of LX sales at invoice ($23,100) cited on this board; I'm sure you can do the same. If you are willing to go to NJ, prices at or near invoice were discussed from Joyce Honda, Honda of Essex, Metro Honda, and Garden State Honda. Other Philly dealers to try: JL Freed - Lansdale--I'm sure they will beat Martin. Marty Sussman in Roselyn--you will get a good price Mike Piazza Honda--maybe, especially if you like the Mets Martin is one of the cheaper dealers in the area. I have contact names at many of the dealers if you want to email me. Let us know what you end up doing.
