Bigt2, I didn't purchase a Odyssey but a Pilot at the first of the year from Sam Swope Honda World in Louisville. I looked at the 04' Odyssey last summer when they had the killer deals going on and they seemed to be the dealer who most wanted my business. Neil Huffman in Clarksville is another good dealer but they don't want to do the same deals Swope does. I guess that's why Swope is the biggest dealer in the region. Bob Montgomery Honda you would be wasting your time dealing with. They act like you are taking food out of their mouth by asking for a good deal. When I looked for my Pilot in late December I told Swope to match the same deal I could get from Mike Pruitt in Akron, OH and they did. I didn't even have to bring them a quote. I know we can't give salesman's name so email me if you would like and will give it to you. I hope this will save you some time.

I just purchased an 05 EXL and wanted the all season mats and the cargo mat. I went on honda.com and found them priced at 199 for the cargo mat and 256 (I think) for the all season mats. I went to Burns honda in Marlton,nj and purchased the cargo mat for 110 and the all season mats for 159. I think the reason for the differnce is that what I purchased was not what was on honda.com. The cargo mat doesn't cover all the area when the third seat is in the floor. It stops short of where the third seat floor area would be. The all season mats only cover the front and second row flor area and don't cover as much as the regular floor mats do. They skimp a little onall sides. njhonda

No, what you purchased *are* the standard Honda cargo mat and all-weather mats.

Dulney, just so I understand... the all-season mats only cover the first and second rows? Second, if i buy the cargo mat does it cover the 3rd row even when the 3rd row seats are up, or is it only used when the 3rd row seats are down in the floor? This is confusing, as when I ordered the van my sales person told me the all season mats would cover all 3 rows. What are you using to protect the 3rd row from an all-season standpoint (vs standard carpet mats). Thanks again.

I'll second the Sam Swope Honda World recommendation.

Generally, is College Park Honda the lowest-price dealer in the Washington DC area? Others I have contacted are offering Odysseys at higher prices. Is $1000 over invoice about what people are paying in this area?

Got my Touring RES & Nav! by pmarcos

As posted previously, I'm in the bay area and decided to purchase a Touring R&N from Kendall Honda up in Oregon. We just got home after a REALLY great experience. The person I dealt with there stayed true to his word, no surprises, no gotchas. Their dealership is in a new location and is sparkling clean, the people are friendly and helpful. My family and I flew up to Portland, drove down to Eugene, spent about 1.5 hours at the dealership and drove off. Very, very, nice people there. No BS, just the standard ext. warranty, etched glass options and dealer installled options offered (we declined on all) with no pressure or anything.

After we left the dealership we drove down the Oregon and California coasts for an absolutely beautiful drive home. The Ody drives great, is LOADED with features and we made good use of the Nav system already finding places to eat and stop along the way. We're really happy!

The price we paid was $1800 over invoice so $36,358. Since we're out of state we didn't pay the dealer the TTL and that will go to the dealer. After a $1000 deposit and a $20 trip permit I showed up with a cashier's check for $35,378 and that was it.

All in all after accounting for the 3 one-way tickets, hotels, meals, etc. we probably saved about $1800 off the prices the Bay Area dealers are asking. It appears that more people are getting Touring models in now so perhaps they'll come off their high MSRP horses now, but in the meantime we got our van, saved some money in the process and had an enjoyable trip down the coast. I'd highly recommend it to anybody in the Bay Area! And if anybody's looking for a stellar dealer in the Eugene, OR area, drop me an email.

Thanks again for all the tidbits of wisdom in this forum!

Does this include the taxes. I have got a quote of 29987 (1000+ invoice) + TTL extra. This is for the east coast for EX-L/RES.
