Thanks for this forum. After many days of research, I finally bought the Odyssey EXL today for $27,500 + $89 dealer fee + $58.50 Title + 5.1% Tax. That's $48 under invoice. This is a best I have seen.

Hey all, I recently bought a touring in NJ. Is anybody having trouble with the compass not working? My wife brought it back to the dealer and they told her that the odyssey is as new to them as it is to her. They spent ~ 45 minutes reading the owners manual trying to get it right...been there done that! We they never fixed it. Where the compass is supposed to be, I just have "--". It annoys the hell out of me! As for Mileage I am getting nowhere near the 20-28mpg as advertised. I am not even getting 20 on highway! Good luck buying and driving the new odysseys! |

At the end of November I ordered the following car, putting down a deposit. I paid MSRP. The way the deal was negotiated was on my trade in. My trade in had an Edmunds fair market value for trade in of about $15,000. I got them to give me $17,000. At other dealerships I'd been offered as little as $13,000 (It was a black BMW 1999, 328I, standard tranny, with Premium package and every option, 55k miles.) I think I got a reasonable deal and they made a reasonable profit. Because it took so long, they threw in the splashguards, wheel locks, and aftermarket mats without my asking. About a week before pickup, I went over financing with the salesguy and he quoted me 4% as the best interest rate. The day before pickup he confirmed that rate with me. When I met with the F&I lady I was told the rate was 5.9%. I asked about the discrepancy and the salesman came in and apologized that he had misquoted me a rate that was not available through his own fault. Maybe I'm a sucker, but I beleived him and accepted it. It does leave a bad taste in my mouth for what was an otherwise satisfactory buying experience. Is 5.9% in fact the best rate offered by Honda on their Oddysey? Should I have tried to make them stand by their original quote?

| My touring has black leather seats but the other day while vacuming the van I noticed that the back of the seats have dark grey leather. Has anyone else encountered this? It seems like a mistake to me to have half | |
