This is why it's important to list the city/state in which you're buying, and to keep in mind that pricing & availability can change from time to time. If you're looking at a post regarding a deal done 6 months ago, chances are that the pricing is different - maybe lower, maybe higher.
It's nice when members post the names of good dealerships, because while pricing may change, customer service at a good dealership should stay constant!

This dealer agreed to give me 1k over invoice (30,449+515+1000=31,964). I couldn't negiotiate more and he is not willing to do so. Is there any thing I can do to make this deal happened around 500 over invoice? Any suggestions?
Thanks

mdmoma, good for you. I posted before about buying from Team Honda in Colo. Springs in December. You and I bought the same model ... EX-L with RES/NAVI. Your price is $174 less than mine, though I had some accessories thrown in (maybe you did as well). So there you have it ... in less than a month, same dealership, same van, price drops $174!

Izk4 - I had the same deal. I asked for accessories, and they threw them in without a problem. The accessories cost $474 if bought and installed at a Honda dealer, so that's almost the $500. Plus when I bought I got the 2.9 financing that was running.

This dealer Team Honda wants to know the name of indiviuals.. so that sales guy can check to see what deal they got. When I called and mentioned about couple of folks in this forum that they bought from Team Honda, he asked for their names?
Is this what they do normally?

Just a reminder - no posting of names or "tell them Bob sent you" in the forums. It simply encourages heavy solicitation in the boards which derails the discussion.
You can always print out the posts and take them along.
Thanks...

honda odd - I tried to respond to you with a well-written post that didn't name sales people or buyers, but even that was removed for reasons that seem more and more vauge to me. So, I guess all I can say is, I was one of the people who bought from Team Honda and posted here. I feel I received a very good deal. I bought in December. You can find my posts earlier, but basically for a 2005 Ody with RES/NAVI I bought for $1K over invoice ($31,964), plus a $299 fee, and I had $475 in accessories added. Hope that helps. I feel like I have to post in code now when trying to be helpful! Oh - one head's up ... my van did not have a fuse that allowed the DVD player to function. Apparently this was missed in the pre-delivery inspection, and is somewhat common at other dealers as well (based on posts I have read). Be sure if you buy, to bring a DVD and have them demo your DVD player, so you can see it works. The fix is a simple one, but why have to go to your local dealer and get it done when you can make sure as you buy?

"Anyway my question is can I cancel my current extended warranty and re-purchase from another source? curryhondacare seem to be the norm on this board. Would I also be able to finance it using my vehicle financing with American Honda?"
Of course you can! It says so right on the sample contract that you should have received with the your paperwork. You have 60 days to cancel for full refund. You then have plenty of time (some say one year, some say two) to buy warranty from another dealer at normal price.
No, you can't roll it after the fact into your loan. But it's only $750 from a good dealer.
