If you are still in the market, as am I, especially for the EX-L-N/R don't despair. I spoke with more than one General Manager who 'volunteered' info that Honda stopped production over Holidays and is only now gearing up again. They wouldn't give me production start dates because Honda has told them they aren't carved in stone but ARE geared to get cars to the dealers toward end of February. Of course, most of these are already spoken for, but attrition will leave a few. What this means for me is no more looking for that model until mid-Feb. It also might mean MUCH lower prices starting in March because people will still be reeling from Christmas bills AND upcoming taxes and all bought out. Ergo, MUCH, lower prices to clear vehicles off the floor and continue selling. So, patience may win in the end. Or, on the other hand, maybe Honda will just stop selling cars.

Replying to: denver5357 (Jan 11, 2005 6:49 am) Anyway my question is can I cancel my current extended warranty and re-purchase from another source? curryhondacare seem to be the norm on this board. Would I also be able to finance it using my vehicle financing with American Honda? Thanks

Replying to: honda_odd (Jan 12, 2005 11:54 am) This was back in Dec (with Monmouth Honda), and I had to take delivery by Dec 31 to get that price. But they did not have a silver EXL R/N and could not get one before Dec31 either. I ended up paying approx 500 over invoice from another dealer closer to home. Dealer Inv is 30,449 + 515 dest = 30,964. Good luck

Replying to: happysocal (Jan 12, 2005 6:49 pm) I followed your postings from November to use as my base for a deal in early December. Robertson gave the lowest initial quote (about $700 HIGHER than what you paid) but had no vehicles. Two weeks later, I did get your vehicle for +- $500 more and considered myself fortunate. As I have recently posted, the dealers that I reached out to on the web (and, out of respect, notified immediately after I secured my vehicle) continue to call looking for business. Not one of them has had an EXL Nav/Res at the time of the call. You got an incredible deal for being in SoCal and you should feel proud for that. Thanks to your posting, I had a basis for getting my deal. Thank You! |
