Maybe in the west coast market. But most posts here are from people who are far from upset or disappointed. They've negotiated (not suggested) great deals, even if you choose not to believe them.

Again, the Ody has only been on the market less than FIVE MONTHS, and substantial discounts are already available in most regions. Just maybe not at YOUR dealership.....

Cheer Up Potential EX-L N/R Buyers ! by algernon

If you are still in the market, as am I, especially for the EX-L-N/R don't despair.

I spoke with more than one General Manager who 'volunteered' info that Honda stopped production over Holidays and is only now gearing up again. They wouldn't give me production start dates because Honda has told them they aren't carved in stone but ARE geared to get cars to the dealers toward end of February. Of course, most of these are already spoken for, but attrition will leave a few.

What this means for me is no more looking for that model until mid-Feb. It also might mean MUCH lower prices starting in March because people will still be reeling from Christmas bills AND upcoming taxes and all bought out. Ergo, MUCH, lower prices to clear vehicles off the floor and continue selling. So, patience may win in the end. Or, on the other hand, maybe Honda will just stop selling cars.

I purchased an EX-L a few weeks ago. At that same time I purchased the Extended Warranty 7/75k for $1,390. I realized that I paid too much now but at the time I didn't know what was the dealer cost. I know I should've done my homework on the warranty before going to the dealer...

Anyway my question is can I cancel my current extended warranty and re-purchase from another source? curryhondacare seem to be the norm on this board. Would I also be able to finance it using my vehicle financing with American Honda?

Thanks

This was back in Dec (with Monmouth Honda), and I had to take delivery by Dec 31 to get that price. But they did not have a silver EXL R/N and could not get one before Dec31 either. I ended up paying approx 500 over invoice from another dealer closer to home.
Dealer Inv is 30,449 + 515 dest = 30,964.
Good luck

I followed your postings from November to use as my base for a deal in early December. Robertson gave the lowest initial quote (about $700 HIGHER than what you paid) but had no vehicles. Two weeks later, I did get your vehicle for +- $500 more and considered myself fortunate. As I have recently posted, the dealers that I reached out to on the web (and, out of respect, notified immediately after I secured my vehicle) continue to call looking for business. Not one of them has had an EXL Nav/Res at the time of the call. You got an incredible deal for being in SoCal and you should feel proud for that. Thanks to your posting, I had a basis for getting my deal. Thank You!

That is true ,but these vans are not selling good in every area of the United States. If you read some of my other post you can see that. I first started off looking at a post, that read College Hills Honda is having a one day sale only for 1 penny over invoice. I called the next day, it turned out to be true. The salesman was willing to stretch that sale one more day if I would've purchased from him. So I encorage anyone that is searching for a honda odyssey at invoice or "a little above". It is possible!!! Thanks to this forum my first deal I got a touring at invoice. Even though the second deal put me at $3000 below invoice(that was only because the dealer mest up on my first contract).look at grainger honda in savannah, ga and college hills honda in ohio. Don't give in to those redicolous MSRP's. Don't be afraid to tell that salesman what you are willing to spend either. Besides your gonna be driving the van for years not them. Grainger honda is where I purchased my van from. I had both dealerships fighting for my business. "It was pretty funny" having them call back and forth over the phone. I said it before in my other post I see mostly siennas over here in Georgia.( only seen 3 2005 odyssey's on the road) "hmmmmmm" "HAPPY HUNTING"!!!!!
