HI, I am looking for a good deal to purchase 2005 Honda Odyssey EX-Leather with RES & NAV. Currently I am located in Mid-Ohio Valley at Parkersburg,WV(26101). Had anybody got a good deal for the above mentioned Vehicle? or any recommendation. this will be our first minivan. we dont have any color preference right now. We are willing to travel travel(probably 2 to 3 hrs) if there is a good deal in other places. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm looking to purchase a Touring Model in the San Jose/San Francisco area and am considering using "cartelligent.com", a broker who charges $300-500. Will they save me enough money to make the finder's fee worthwhile or is the car so hot that I could do the same on my own. Is this car going at MSRP or can I actually get close to invoice? Also, I haven't bought a car in a while. What are some of the costs that I should make sure are in the deal so that the salesperson doesn't try to surprise me at the end when I think the negotiations are already done? Should I get the extra warranty?

I think Route 22 Honda and Hudson Honda would have gone to invoice based on my conversations with them but I never got it in writing (via e-mail) from them.

Replying to: dd3 (Jan 11, 2005 12:34 am) Here's a few guidelines: -Use the dealer locator tool on the site and email out to dealers. Tell them the model you are looking for and specify NO DEALER ADD-ONS (i.e. unless you really want $500 pinstripes that are $30 stickers...). This also includes no accessory add-ons by the dealer such as roof rack (check out the H&A banner near the top of the page and price out the accessories so you know the price of each and compare it to what the dealer may want to charge you...in many cases you are better off buying from H&A and putting in/on the accessory yourself). -Know the numbers from the dealership before you go in for a test drive. Print out any communication and take it with you. -Extended warranty - this price is negotiable! Read back in this discussion and you can see what others have paid. Also - you don't have to buy this when you buy the van. You can purchase from any dealership within a certain time/mileage on the vehicle (help me out here folks...) All in all - read the articles on the site about 10 Steps in Buying New Car. They go over the various fees to watch out for, etc. Good luck! And save yourself the $300-$500, get a deal where YOU KNOW all the numbers. That $300-$500 can come in handy during the rainy season in the Bay Area (i.e. sandbags) |

| Just a follow-up. Picked the Van up earlier this week all paperwork in order no surprises. I am pricing the extended warranty elsewhere. Paid $613 above invoice for the van. Based on some posts here looks like invoice is becoming the norm. I struck the deal with Middletown Honda in NY. | |
