Just took delivery of an 05 Odyssey for $1500 below MSRP. Not the best deal by far but fair for the bay area marketplace I believe. Purchased from Walnut Creek Honda (where we live) 05 Odyssey Slate Green/Olive $29,310 sell price (including destination) $45 doc fee $2422 tax $239 title $11 tire and smog fee $32026 OTD I think they've gotten very aggressive in trying to unload these before the end of the year. They had several EX-L's on the lot a month ago and now they have none and are pre-selling the ones coming in. Very good service at Walnut Creek. I did pass up on the Honda Care for now. They are very expensive (7yr/75k going for 1657!). However they do offer a money back policy. You will get your money back at the end of the extended warrantee period if you never use it. Anyone have experience with this?

I just got a Silver 2005 EX-L (leather) for 28400 before TT&L. No extras other than tinted driver and passenger windows. The deal included the 2.9% financing. I passed on the extended warranty, but am thinking of going back for it. Is it worth it? I traded in a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan with 98000. They started the offer at $1000, but ended up giving me $2500. This was competivite with another quote I had. How does this compare to other deals? Did I "do good"? |

I was able to purchase an R&N at Boyd Honda in Oxford for $1500 off MSRP. Doc fees were $149.50 . No other add ons. Probably lucked into this vehicle because it was unexpected and I was the only person to drive when it came off the truck plus the fact that it came in just prior to Christmas and thus they didn't have any weekend days(that they were open) before year end. jeff

The car is perfect; I haven't been able to find any interior or exterior defects. One minor dissappointment: the Olive interior color is really just grey with a VERY slight greenish tint. All the pictures on Honda and other sites indicated it was more beige than grey. Oh, well... Since I had a perfect experience, I can now tell you the dealership name: Pohanka Honda in Salisbury, Maryland. The deal is as follows: Touring edition ("base") at $800 over invoice + $100 documentation fee. They did throw in spash guards and wheel locks, which more than pays for the doc fee. Delivered for free to my home in Northern Virginia, which is a 3 hour drive. Also bought from them HondaCare 7 yr/100,000 miles zero deductible extended warranty at the lowest price I've seen mentioned anywhere $1,075. Got the 2.9% Honda special financing for 60 months. The entire experience was as painless as I've ever experienced. This is my second time buying a car from a far away dealership and both have gone off without a hitch. The salesperson with super nice and preparing paperwork with the finance manager over the phone took a whole 10 minutes! Next week I'm getting Sony 9" DVD entertainment system put in for $900 including installation. It's a great system in a color that perfectly matches the interior. And I already ordered Magellan RoadMate 700 navigation system; the final price will be about $800. FYI, the price on Touring with NAVI/RES would've been $1,500 over invoice, but I'd have to wait about 3 months for my color. Another dealer that matched this price is Hanover Honda in Hanover, PA.
