ispy, my best quote so far has been from Honda Cars of Boston. The quote was $1510.00 off of $28510.00 = $27,000.00 on a EX cloth. Doc fees are $120.00 then MA tax. Kelly Honda in Salem and Honda Barn in N.Reading quoted MSRP $28,510.00. Bernardi in Natick was $28,110.00.
Bedard Bros. in Cheshire and Honda North in Danvers were $27,510.00.
These are internet quotes. I have let them all know that I have a better offer. Some have budged and others not at all. I haven't gotten down to business yet. Still comparing to Sienna LE w/ BZ pkg. I've had a quote of $26,995.00 on the Sienna. Decisions decisions. I'll probably make my final decision the end of the month. If you buy before me, let me know how it goes and I'll do the same. Good luck

West Broad Honda in Richmond. Originally planned to buy in the DC Metro Area, but the prices were a little higher and the waiting lists were mounting.

Dealer Runaround EX-L NAVI/DVD

My wife and I put a deposit on a Nighthawk Black EX-L NAVI/RES at a dealer outside of DC back in Sept and were told that we could expect the vehicle in 4-6 weeks.
Two weeks ago I was told that the vehicle we ordered had a VIN and that typically vehicles are delivered 2 weeks after the VIN is assigned. Today I was told that the dealer is trying to make a trade with another dealership for the vehicle that we want and hopes to have it by the third week in Dec.
Out of frustration my wife contacted another dealer who says that according to Honda there are only three Black EX-L NAVI/RES allotted to the DC area in the coming months; one, supposedly ours, going to the dealer holding our deposit. My wife was also told that these vehicles are not scheduled to be made until the second week of Jan 2005 so delivery would be in Feb at the earliest.
Has anyone else been having a similar experience?

Yes, the same thing happened to us. You should be able to click unsubscribe to stop these e-mails. Yesterday we drove 3 hours to The Honda Store in Youngstown Ohio and put a downpayment on an Ocean Mist EXL with NAV & RES. Very pleased with this dealership! Able to negotiate a fair price with the Internet Sales Manager over the phone without her checking with someone to see if the price was ok. Absolutely no attempt to sell us options. She was able to do some trading around to get us this van per our request in mid January. Paid $1064 over invoice including destination fee. Reasonable doc & title fees.

Sepa thanks for the information about buying the Odyssey in Philadelphia. I am willing to travel to pick up the car. I refuse to pay sticker price which is over 12% invoice and that's crazy! Thanks for helping me out since I am ready to purchase.

05 Odyssey in SC

I purchased a Silver Pearl with Grey Leather EX-L from Honda Cars of Rock Hill in SC. I haggled a little, but they were not willing to move much. I ended up paying $30,000 ($810 below MSRP), but they "threw in" wheel locks and splash guards. They showed me the inventory list that they were expecting at their dealership, and there were only 5 more in that color coming in over the next two months (remember, almost all Auto makers shut down for two weeks around Christmas). I was not willing to wait any longer, so I bought it right away and took delivery. It is definitely worth the wait if you choose, but in the end, if you gotta have it, get it!!!!

Good luck. I had been a long time GM owner, and almost always paid less than $100 over invoice. But not with Honda. They are really marketed towards a different type of buyer. I bought my '05 Odyssey EX-L for about $1000 below MSRP ($810 off MSRP + Wheel locks and Splash Guards thrown in), and I even attmepted to leave because I wanted a better deal. In the end, the dealer felt strong that they could sell to somebody else and make even more money than the $3,000 +++ on me. I caved, because the vehicle is just awesome! I suggest that if you want the Odyssey, try and get the best deal of course, but do not threaten to leave. The dealers at this point don't care!!! And, as we get closer to Christmas, there will be fewer vans available because the Honda plant in Lincoln, AL will be shut down for two weeks in December. Check out the True Cost to Own analysis on this Website. It really hit home with me when comparing the Ody to others in its' class. Good luck again. Let us know how you do.

I got all the informations that I needed to know. By comparing to Dcs or Scoutleader's informations, you got a good deal from Bedford Bros Honda. I have E-mailed Bedford Bros Honda. The seleswoman gave me $950.00 off the MRSP. I want to know that how much did you get the price from them? Would you please let me know the breakdown price please? I am looking forward to buy EX-L. Thank you very much both of you (Dos and Scoutleader). Those are very helpfull informations, and save my times to check with every dealer. Once again, thank you very much.
