Got a very good deal on a Touring without RES or NAV by sgarabedian

Hello everyone,
This is my first post but I have been reading everone else's for a month or so now. I finally got a deal on a Silver Touring without NAV or RES but it took some work. The out the door price was $32313. The breakdown is as follows: $750 over invoice plus $398 administrative fee plus misc. fees of $22. I live in Jackson, TN and the dealer is Ed Voyles in Atlanta, GA. We wanted a gray interior and he tried to sell me a black one (by mistake he said); luckily I checked the VIN number he sent me on the Honda website and found out the interior was black. He did trade with another dealer to get a gray interior, so we're cool. I was faxed an agreement today and I will be flying on Saturday to pick it up. The next best deal I had was from Jasper Honda in AL for $32900 out the door. Local dealers are still quite unrealistic and just not interested it seems to me in making a sale. They weren't willing to negotiate off MSRP by much at all. I'm looking forward to the new van, our first van and our first Honda vehicle.
This forum has been very helpful for me and I hope my post will be useful.
Good luck to all.

I'm just looking for a 2005 EX with leather in Silver, sounds simple. Most dealers quoted me $1000 off.
I checked with the "General Internet Manager" (some title!!!) at the dealer in Bedford Ohio.
This is the same guy that was there in 2002, they were dealing then when most dealers weren't, so I gave it a shot.
He said he'd match the $950 over invoice that that Bradford Brothers dealer was giving, except on the R&N models. I'll let you know, I'm stopping by tomorrow.

hey guys, do u mind answering a question for me cuz it has been bothering me for a while now...

i'm from vancouver, canada, and i just purchased a 05 honda odyssey last month MSRP, but the thing is, i have not yet gotten the vehicle from them depite the fact that i paid my $1000 depoosit.

they keep on telling me that the odyssey that i've specified has not yet arrived (which is only an EX-L and apparently they only have the ones w/ the DVD pkg).

i'm wondering if they're trying to process this deal till the price of an odyssey drops so that they can make more money since i've already agreed to pay the current msrp.

anyways, dunno if anyone has seen an 05 odyssey around vancouver yet but plz help me out! thanks a bunch.

Just picked up my EXL this evening. It has been an interesting and overall positive experience. Paid $2,169 off MSRP, or $1,092 over invoice. Also traded my 97 Dodge caravan for the highest quote I got in the area. Here is the break down of the price list:

28,641 Car
   105.5 Cargo tray
   159 All season floor mat
   115 Splash guard (installed)
449 Envir. Paint and Rust protection
    12.5 NYS tire fee
    45 Doc fee
    10 NYS inspection
 3,000 Trade-in

Dealer: Fox Honda in Auburn NY (central NY).

Thanks to Edmunds and everyone who shared in this forum. Hope my post will benefit others. I am now moving to the owner's forum :-> (have been reading it for awhile now).

Definitely!...I highly recommend Classic Honda in Streetsboro. I worked out a deal with them of $1,000 over invoice for an EX-L plus a $100 doc fee. They seem like a very fair and honest dealership that actually cares about making the customer happy rather than just lining their own pockets.

They also provide you with free carwashes for the life of your vehicle and $9.95 oil changes.

Feel free to shoot me an email if anyone wants additional info about my experience with them.

Which dealership in Louisville did you purchase your EX from? I live in Louisville and have been looking at Sam Swope Honda, Bob Montgomery Honda, and even Honda Cars of Clarksville.
