For all of you still talking MSRP and above....hold out and search. I got an offer for well over $1500 of the '05 Odyssey from Moore Stewart Honda in Selma Alabama.

When I calculated the cost of traveling to Alabama to pick up the cost (I live 15 hours away), I contacted Coral Springs Honda in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. and informed them of my offer and my determination to go to Alabama to get the Ody. Within 15 minutes they offered to sell me the same model for or $1,000 off the MRSP price. While Moore-Stewarts offer was better, time is money and the costs associated with traveling to Alabama including having to take two days off from work made COral Springs offer reasonable. I got the Ody that same night!!!!!

Easy Local Purchase by cburnett11

I was able to locally (Louisville, KY) buy my first Honda yesterday without any pain. I got a 2005 Odyssey EX for $26,200 + tax & fees. The $26,200 was the total price vs. the msrp of $28,510 + the prep items that the dealership put on the van. It was more than $3k less than what their "total" sticker price showed. I was shocked that I could get one that much lower and without too much haggling. Are others seeing these aggressive discounts?

When I went to the dealership I wanted to find one of the 2004 clearance vans and they did not have any. They convinced me to get a 2005 when they gave me such an aggressive price.

There are many types of warranties: mileage/years/deductible vary, so with out knowing the exact warranty you got it is hard to say whether the deal was IMHO was a good one. That seems like a very good price if you got the 7yr/100K/0 deductible.

Hi, Billiebird,

Could you provide the name of the dealer in your area that is willing to match the $950 over invoice price? How is your wait time for your van?

Thanks,

Really? Wow. They didn't give me a good quote on an EXL-R&N, but that model may have more demand at this point. Thanks.

Good Job! Did you have a trade in or was this a straight deal?
