We took delivery of an '05 Odyssey last night making us the first Alaskans to drive off the lot with one. I had worked with the dealer before and because of those efforts and no trade, they sold me the van at MSRP ($28,510 with destination charges for the EX). I was very happy to get this van at all, let alone for this price. They had one '04 left and we did side-by-side comparisons, driving them both and wringing the seats and features out with three of our four kids. There is no comparison. Add to this the safety features and performance of the new '05, well, the '04 seems a bit plain. I would list all the great features of the '05 but Honda does a much better job on their web site: http://www.hondacars.com/models/model_overview.asp?ModelName=Odys- sey The '05 is the new king on the block. Sienna's crown has been stripped and returned to Honda. Yes, the Sienna had a lot to do with this new Honda being here, but here it is, and it is worth it. John

I'm in the chicago area drove the EXL, very nice. Essentially drives like a car. Gorgeous interior and drives much better than the Sienna. Interested in getting the EXL with Navi and RES but no one seems to have one in white, one dealer claims he can special order a white one but another dealer told me they just get what they get based on prior sales in the area. Anyone know the real scoop on if dealers really can ask the factory for a specific trim level and color to be delivered to their dealership?

Spoke to my dealer today (Leith Honda) and he confirmed my order for a EX-L RES should be here next week. Signed up three weeks ago

Marin Honda. I spoke to their Internet sales manager, and he was willing to sell his last one (Sandstone) at $23,988 including destination. There was at least one other dealer, but I need to confirm with its sales manager again. |

Thanks for sharing the dealership info in the boards so everyone can benefit. Just a reminder - it is best NOT to post your email address in the boards. 1) if advice is in email, not everyone can benefit. 2) bots/spiders crawl our boards and your email address then gets added to many SPAM lists which I'm sure you don't want. (nothing we can do about this). |
