The dealer in oregon/washinton state didn't seems to accept any offer below the invoice price. The best offer I got so far is the invoice + 400. What will be the right price for NW area? Does anybody has a goooood deal yet? |

They really don't want to give you their best and final offer because they know you will just shop it around. So at some point focus on the two dealers with the best price and give them 3-4 weeks of encouragement to meet your price. They are the experts at the waiting game but also know that supply and demand changes daily. When they do bite, and they always do if you are patient. Make sure the car you want is available at the price you want. Be prepared for some possible games when you get there. You mentioned the NW area. If you are in PDX area, buyer beware of the Buy Bob folks. They agreed to our offer then tried to raise the price when we showed up to buy the car. While doing the paper work we caught them trying to bury a $185 fee labeled VTR with the title, license, and processing fees on the purchase contract; making it look like VTR was required by the State. "Vehicle Theft Registration" is really the window etching scam. Overwhelmed by the sleazyness we walked out. |

| I'm in the market for an 04 Ody EXL without DV. I think you got an incredible deal. It looks like you paid $940 under invoice if I'm not mistaken which is great. Would you mind sharing the name of the dealership as I do live closeby to Santa Monica? I would appreciate it. Also, did you finance the purchase through American Honda Finance Corp? What interest rate did you receive for how many years? Thank you in advance. Dennis | |

I purchased the vehicle on Saturday (2/14/04) too. Thought I did well until I saw the posts above. Still feel I did OK for this area (Upper Midwest). Here are the details. Vehicle MSRP: $24980 tow package: $1223 cd player: $445 mudguards: $121 total: $26769 Discount: $2069 sale price: $24775 (they snuck $75 on me - had been quoted $24,700) tax (5%) $1239 Registration/Tittle/Fees $111 Grand total: $26,125 No clue how this compares to invoice, but since MSRP was the norm through October last year, I consider this good movement in our area. I still think it is a sound investment vs other options out there. |

Here's the verbal quote from my local freindly Honda Dealer (Purchased both my Hondas from there at average prices). VEHICLE: Year/Make: 2004 Honda Odyssey EX-L RES Model/Trim/Transmission: Odyssey EX Automatic Transmission with Leather and DVD Entertainment System Exterior Color: Starlight Silver Metallic Interior Color: Quartz Leather Options: 8-way Power Heated Seats Remote with 2 wireless headsets Air Deflector Keyless Entry Passive Alarm Towing Package Cross Bars on roof rack Roof Box, short Door Edge Guards FenderWell Trim Splash Guards Cargo Cover Cargo Mat In-Dash 6-Disc CD Changer Fog Lights Wood Grain Kit Is a 31,800 quote a good price? |

| You got a great deal! I think the warranty price you paid is a little high. It can be had for ~$900 in the Memphis area. But even if you say you paid $27,000 for the car and got the warranty at $900, that is still a good deal. I paid $26,500 (including all dealer fees) for an '03 EX-L (no RES) in Septermber. Happy motoring. | |

You got an excellent deal with $970 below Invoice. I was negotiation with SM dealer, 2 wks ago, (down to $250 difference) but didn't bought it there and ended up with Sienna XLE LTD. I think you paid too much for the Ext. Warranty. My deal at the time was $500 off invoice on EXL-Navi plus $750 with 7/100 Ext. Warranty plus $600 for backup camera installed (taking advantage of having Navi). They called me to accept my deal when I'm signing the doc for my Sienna XLE LTD with HO pkg for more $$$$. SM Honda basically bought the car back at $250. I'm glad I did choice Sienna over Odyssey. Really enjoy the quiet ride and Dual DVD screen(use the Navi to watch DVD too) and backup camera. |

| So . . . . how much more did you pay for an extra DVD screen, navi, a back-up camera, and a "quieter" rider versus what BEACHMOM paid for her Ody EXL-RES?? | |

Notice you are in CT. I am too. Is the 31.8 out the door? tax, destination, reg fees? Need to break out the detail. Also, I do know that Greenwich Honda has been advertising an EX-L with RES for $27.7 - which means you can probably get it for less. Fair Honda in Danbury seems to have good prices. |
