| jmess: You can get a very nice class III hitch from hiddenhitch.com for under $200. I had one installed on my 2000 LX for about 175 in Pensacola, FL a couple years ago. That included a wiring harness, but no tranny or oil coolers. I only towed a small Uhaul trailer once for a move (about 600 miles, no more than 1500 pounds, so the Class III is actually some overkill) but use the hitch as a receiver for a bike carrier. Its a simple, bolt on installation if you don't need the wiring harness. Its a sleek, round tube hitch that looks good and is unobtrusive. I took it off my 00LX and am going to install it on my new 04 EXL without a wiring harness as I only need it for a bike carrier. If you do plan to tow something fairly heavy, you can buy the coolers from Handaccessories.com and install them yourself or have a shop do it for you. Thats going to be much cheaper than the towing package you will get at the dealer, I would think. | |

| I am looking for extended warranty (HONDA CARE)on my 2002 oddy at 7/100k miles. Any one know where to get a great deal on pricing. Also, I was told by the dealer that Honda care covers the dvd, stereo, cd player that others do not. Any one knows if that is true? I did not see it in the info that they provided me just the dealers telling me so. He told me an 7/100k miles was $1797.00 way too much to me. Thanks! Are there other warranties that are just as good? I seen the ones on edmunds. Thanks! | |
| I paid $26,222 for a 2004 EX-L in silver and the dealership added the remote starter and 6 cd in dash player for free...I think I did very well. I think a few other dealers would have given me the same deal - I just chose the most convienent to my house...IS this a good price or am I kidding myself? | |
| I just got a quote for $24574. Is it a good price for an EX? Has anyone else purchased recently? | |

Oh yes i did. None of the dealers in my area were able to belive it. they told me that it must be a canadian vehical or damaged or owned by some one else. But i checked all and i found that the vehical was perfect and was a usa vehical warrenteed with american honda. called them up to make sure that. There were only 80 miles on it and i am absolutely sure that it is perfect just that it was 2003 model........... now planning to install dvd on it so.......hopefully by next month. good luck to all you guys.. You all really helped me making this deal a success. Thanks In reply to: 4986 of 4997 rashmi_jain ??? by hislander Jan 26, 2004 (2:35 pm) That's incredible. You meant you got an EX-L for more than $2500 under invoice !!!! You're sure it's new right??? |

That is a great deal Pardon my ignorance..I can understand the CD changer but what is a remote starter.. is it the keyless entry. I thought the EX-L has this feature already. Please correct me if I am wrong. |

| Be careful doing too much of the towing accessories yourself. If you install everything and then actually do some towing - they may not honor your warranty should you have any problems they could relate to towing (i.e. transmission). When I was looking at Ody's, I called several dealers in the area and had quotes from $950 - $1,050 for everything installed. So when I was dickering on the car, that was my last card. I told them if they would add the complete 3,500# towing package to their current offer for $600 installed, then I would buy the vehicle and they whined but eventually accepted. It looks very nice. Good luck. | |
| I had never heard of it either - a friend told me about it...My understanding is you push a button on the keyless entry thing and the car starts, meaning you can warm it up/cool it down before you get in, depending on the weather. I have never had this feature but a woman at Honda (as did my friend who had it on her SUV) said they can not live without it now... | |

>>I just got a quote for $24574. Is it a good price for an EX? Has anyone else purchased recently? I just bought myself 2004 Honda Odyssey EX, for $24,600 plus tax/title/license. Included dealer added paint/fabric sealant, $795 value. Of course I did shopping around, got prices from two different dealers, AND (very important) shopped at the last day of the month. Seems that dealers HAVE to make whatever deal to sell before the month ends, or they loose money on van siting on their dealership. My dealer even extended the warranty from 3/36 to 5/60, although it had $50 deductible, no problem, extension to 5 years makes it worth it. By the way, it handles beautifully. Way more roomy than sienna. Feels more solid also. |
