Just purchased an EX-L this weekend. Paid invoice and got a few goodies thrown in. Went through the internet for pricing, however, seems like lots of dealerships are willing to deal on Odysseys here in Ohio (bought mine in Columbus, but got good quotes in Cleveland as well). Good luck to all purchasing.

| That's incredible. You meant you got an EX-L for more than $2500 under invoice !!!! You're sure it's new right??? | |

I have been looking for an 04 EXL to replace my 2000 LX for several weeks. I finally reached a deal today at a dealer in Memphis (Wolfchase). The sticking point in most of my dealings was the trade in value, and I just didn't want to sell it myself, so I had to bite the bullet a little on that. Anyway, here is the deal according to the official paperwork: Van Price: 27,002 Trade: 13,502 Diff: 13,500 Doc fee: 250 My Price: 13,750 Taxes/tags: You bet! Here's how I figured the deal, in as much as I stated earlier that I wanted to get the car for 300 over invoice and the dealer said he would sell it for 500 over invoice. Price: 26,522 (400 over invoice) - Trade: 12,772 = I spent: 13,750 + taxes I was hoping for a bit more on the trade, but what can you do. The new van came with the mud flaps, pinstripe, wheel locks and a paint protection package that they try to add to the invoice for about 800,(thats probably why they listed the price as $27,002). It was all included in my bottom line differential when we were discussing the deal. I dealt with the internet manager and the process was pretty painless, just an hour and a half or so getting all the paperwork together and the van cleaned up for delivery. I would recommend the dealer and the internet manager for anybody looking for a new Honda in the greater Graceland area. Again, thank you Edmunds and all of you shoppers out there for sharing your info and making the car buying experience a little bit easier for everyone. TB |

Got quote from San Antonio TX dealer: $24874 for 2004 Odyssey EX. Should I jump at the deal? Oh, and they throw in upgrade to 5 year/60,000 mile warranty. You think I should? Being end of month, what are my odds of getting even better deal? |
|
| JJ: In my humble opinion, $100 over invoice is a terrific deal, particularly with a little extra warranty thrown in. If everything else is right with the deal I would take it. | |
| Has anyone priced what the factory trailer hitch kit costs installed with the heavy duty power steering and automatic transmission coolers? I was surprised to see that Honda requires the bigger coolers before you can do any towing. | |

Dang, didn't realize that prices were that low on the '04s. I was planning on waiting until late summer to decide between the '04 and the redesigned '05, I may have to rethink my plan. Any guess on how long the low prices on '04s will continue? I believe that dealerships have been lowering their prices in order to sell more, thus being able to get more '05s (which will sell at MSRP for a while, I believe). |
