Try Albany Honda in Albany, GA. They have a Mesa Beige EX coming in Dec. 20th that they claim will be at 26,840 plus tax etc. They do charge a handling fee of like $99. But it seems like everyone charge for that. The sales guy who sent me the e-mail is named Graham Edwards. You can reach him at albanyhonda |

| Just ordered an LX for $500 under MSRP at Jacobs Twin Honda. Went thru the special accounts office via Carpoint. No haggling, good experience. No pressure to add any options. Ordered roofrack with crossbars, single CD and keyless entry for total of about $1000 add-ons (supposedly dealer cost). Total price LX + options + destination = under $24900. | |

I read your post with great interest because I live in Eugene and I bought my 2000lx from Kendall in October. I also emailed every dealer in Oregon and a few in Washington. I narrowed it down to 2-3 dealers in the Eugene-Corvallis-Salem area. I wasn't having much success in my view with my salesman at Kendall and eventually worked directly with Darin David one of the sales managers. We came to a fair deal and I've been very happy with the van so far. Only 1100 miles on it (you probably have more already)and no major complaints. I am glad you were happy with them. While I haven't had to take the van in for service yet, the prep work etc. when I picked up my van was very good. My salesman spent plenty of time with me and the van was in great shape. You had pretty special circumstances and Kendall made you happy and that's important, because they didn't necessarily have to, they probably weren't going to see you again, were they? Our credit card also gives us miles, and I think we have good credit, but putting a $25000+? car on a CC? Whoa! What hotel did you stay in? Did you get to see much of Eugene? Enjoy! |

| Lojack is a one priced deal, $595. The same for everyone. They will come to your home, business or at the dealership if you want. | |

| How long is your wait going to be, or was it on the lot already? | |
| I could find nothing on the lot anywhere in the chicago area. Had trouble even finding one to testdrive. I am told that the wait for my LX will be 2-3 months, which I am willing to do. | |

Thought I'd pass along this dealer for those waiting in the Washington D.C. area. I tried the locals, Herson's, Ourisman, Rosenthal, Sport, etc. last August, and got pretty much the same responses. 3 - 6 month wait or about $5K in dealer installed options. Coleman Honda had (still has) numerous MY 2000 Canadian EX at $2 - $3K over MSRP, these have been covered here before, I did not care for the 3rd party warranty or the price. The fact that they still have so many is testament that most others reached the same conclusion. Put down a $500 deposit with Herson's in August. They managed to lose my business in September after a classic bait and switch game. Kept my cool and got my deposit back. Suffice it to say that I would stay away from this dealer. A neighbor got a 2001 SS EX from Heritage Honda in Towson (Baltimore), MD in September at MSRP. She recommended them. I finally took the plunge and gave it another try and put down a $500 deposit with them on 11/04, got my dark green EX at MSRP on 12/08. No fuss, no muss. Used the delivery checklist from this forum (super!), and also got the Honda care 7/100/0 warranty at $895. I was told by the dealer that this price equates to $50 over cost on the warranty. No pull, clunks or problems so far. Honda got this one right, a super van. The product is worth the hassle in getting one, hang in there. Cordially, Erik V. |

How many of you buy it in another city without even checking it out and have the dealer ship it to you? Certainly kind of risky right? |
|
| I for one, don't have a problem with buying from a remote location. If there are any problems, the local dealer can address them under the warranty. You might have to travel a little bit to find one at the price and equipped as you like. Any dealer can do any necessary service or warranty repairs. | |
