I'm new to this board and Odyssey's but I love them. I have an 94 accord with 91,000 miles in excellent shape, but it's too small for a growing family. Can you anyone tell me what the Ex-l Res is? What is a good buying price for the EX with Entertainment/Leather? Hope this isn't a dumb question. I am looking to buy in Wichita Kansas or surrounding area. Wichita they are stubborn here about price nego. I may have to go to another city. I have heard that Dodge City, Kansas and Ponca City, OK are dealing pretty serious with buyers. Thanks for the help. |

The Havasu Blue actually comes with the Fern interior. Its just a bit darker (in cloth) than the quartz interior, with a touch of green. The Havasu Blue is a very light almost silverish blue that seemed to be hard to find intitially but I saw several of them on the lot at a dealer outside of Memphis yesterday. RES = rear entertainment system, wouldn't it have been easier if they had just gone with DVD? 0-500 above invoice seems to be a pretty good price these days. |

I live in Austin, TX and looking for Honda Odyssey with Entertainment and Leather options. I wouldn't mind driving up to Dallas or Houston if dealer offers a good deal. Can anyone tell me which dealer is giving a good deal? How much below or above invoice price? Thanks, Charlie |

| Go to honda's site and request qoutes. I had been given good prices last year when I bought my Oddy use zipcode 77030 to locate houston Area Dealers. From my personal experiences with the various Honda dealers I would talk to David Mcdavid, and Russell & Smith first. | |

If you read through this a little bit, I think you will see that most Odyssey buyers looking to buy right now are getting invoice or pretty darn close to it. For mommybear, there is a dealer in Mcalester, OK called Riverside Autoplex that will likely do a deal at invoice and bring you the vehicle of choice for a couple hundred dollars. For Charlie, David McDavid in Dallas is the most competitive around and they are the most likely to do invoice, expecially if you go pick it up. Email me at jamestren For anyone else, just stick to your guns, tell every dealer you can find that you want to buy the vehicle at invoice. If you are serious about buying, you'll get the deal... BTW.. In reference to the questions, EX L RES stands for EX with leather and rear entertainment center. Invoice on this vehicle including dealer destination charges is $27,470. |

I just read about as much as I could about your buying experience and the remedy. As a big time dealer basher, I must say you take the cake for customer pricks. Is it a cultural thing that says you can only win with the other party loosing? You are the very reason there are signs made that say "we have the right to refuse anyone's business" |

| If you can't take buying/selling, supply/demand, dealing with the public, taking it on the chin once in a while, raking it in once in a while - then find another job. It's called business. | |

you didn't understand where I'm coming from. I'm not in sales and usually loath car salesmen, but in the case we are referring to, I saw a buyer who was out of line, cheap, and just a royal pain. Getting what you want by being a good negotiator is one thing. Coming back later because you think you left $150 on the table and then demanding you get more is rediculous. |
