Thank you to this forum and its members.....because of you we were well informed buyers!
On Sat, March 31st we bought our new 2012 Odyssey EXL w/NAV white/truffle for $35,999 OTD (Orange County CA tax rate of 7.75%) inclusive of the Honda Protection Package (splash guards, wheel locks and cargo tray- retails $499) from DCH Honda of Oxnard. Our Salesperson was simply awesome to work with- extremely patient, courteous and professional throughout our dealings. Our process started as an e-query and 3 weeks later we were ready to drive all the way up to Oxnard (about 100 miles from us). Yes, we couldn't ignore this competitive offer (much better than min. 12 other dealers in a 75 mile radius from us). Over and above we took advantage of the Honda financing where they will pay our first month's payment upto $500. The Finance guy did try to slap the 8 year 120K mile extended warranty on us for $2300, however we couldn't be outsmarted (thanks to the warranty thread on this forum)! We plan to buy it from either Hyannis or Saccucci.
Since all negotiations had already taken place over the phone, our Salesperson ensured that we had a smooth and hassle free experience at the dealership. We were in and out in less than 2 hours (which makes happy kids Kindly note: Even the accessory pricing quoted by this dealership was cheaper than local dealers in Orange County.
So, all in all it was a 35K OTD deal for us and we are very pleased! We highly recommend DCH Honda of Oxnard!

Hi,
Anyone purchased Odyssey EX-L recently in RTP area. I got a quote from Auto Park Honda and out the door price was 33422. If you have got it for a lesser price in the area please give me the dealership name, price and sales person info.
Thanks.

We are also in the ATL area and in my initial research, I've gotten best price from Team Honda ($32,965 w/o doc, tax, tags) for the same options you are looking for (EX-L with RES). I haven't started detailed negotiations yet, but will keep you appraised of what else I come across.

Actually Team Honda in Lithia Springs was in the final 3 dealerships I wanted to work with. The issue is she only offered me the wheel locks, mug guards, and nitrogen in the wheels for $33080 w/o tax, tag, and doc fees. The guy at Carey Paul threw all that stuff in +moonroof visor, paint sealant AND i'm adding the Remote Starter System for $32687.46 w/o tax, tag, and doc fees. The guy at Carey Paul has been really helpful and was the first internet sales manager to respond with the price broken down into the different fees with a definite OTD price. The same guy also got my credit approval pushed through Honda Finance so I could get a great 1.9% APR for 60 months. I'll continue posting any changes because Carey Paul doesn't have the exact color Odyssey in stock atm.
Feel free to contact me on my personal e-mail-- andrewnhoang
gmail.com Maybe we can trade notes/quotes actively so we both can walk with the best deal.

Garden State Honda in Clifton.
with NJ tax - 33600 OTD for EXL - (without considering 500$ honda finance.. so when you add that - the final cost is 33100).

Thank you everyone for the input and all the great advice. I really think I got a great deal on my vehicle and my entire family is extremely grateful.
2012 Odyssey EX-L (with RES, polished metal color, grey leather interior)
Dealer Additions Included:
- wheel locks
- splash guards
- moonroof visor
- remote engine starter system
- all season floor mats (threw those in after I brought up the minor door dings, manager recommended that I not request a full respraying for the door because it messes up the original factory paint job, but did agree to touch it up.)
Price, including destination fee, and all additions: $32,687.46
Sales Tax (7.00%): $2329.21
Title, License, and Documentation fees: $608.00
Total out the door cost: $35,624.67
Did all my negotiations via email with the internet sales manager at Carey Paul Honda in Snellville. He was able to match my lowest offer, throw in the Protection Package, AND add on the remote engine starter system for way below MSRP + labor. There were lots of people waiting when we showed up late for our 2:30pm appointment but the entire process only took about 2.5 hours. All the paperwork was drawn up when we sign, we just had to wait for the vehicle to be cleaned pretty much.

I am in the market for EX-L in the RTP area. Test drove EXL at Cary Auto Park this weekend and was quoted 31,500 for base EXL.

Thank you for the prompt response, I gave your quote in an email to Garden State Honda rep, the response from them was
"Do you have anything in writing that I can show my senior manager that outlines the deal you are speaking of?"
What do you suggest ?
#28742 of 30035 Factory Wrap_Plus Care (Warranty)

We just purchased an Odyssey EX-L. I think we did well on the price ($33,264 with everything, including tax), though the finance manager of course tried to add on various items, including the Factory Wrap+Plus Care protection package (http://apps.cnanational.com/cportal/vehicle-service-contracts ).
This extends the 3yr /36,000 mile bumper-to-bumper (and 5 year/50,000 powertrain) standard warranty to 10 years / 120,000 miles for everything. There's a $100 deductible, and guarantees all replacement parts are new Honda parts. There are also a few minor perks, like roadside assistance, etc. The warranty is transferable should we sell the car before 10 years. Also, it can be terminated early for a pro-rated refund.
I resisted, then purchased it for the "employee discount" price of $1,338 -- only because I can cancel within 60 days. Suggestions?? Thanks!
