Do your research on this van and all of the tranny, motor mounts, etc. Here is an article just put out by Motor Trend.
February 2012 Motor Trend Long Test Article 2011 Odyssey Touring Elite, 6 months old, 14999 miles "...we'll have the technicians look at the transmission as well. Over time, shifting has become rough, and occasionally upon acceleration between first and second gears, the transmission seems to be shuddering."

I just bought at Carey Paul Honda in Snellville. Got the $750 cash from Honda Finance. I paid $40,150.00 for a touring. No trade. Also received 1.9% but beware the Finance guys. They will try to push the extended warranty and tell you you only qualify for 1.9% if you buy the warranty.

Is the $40,150 including tax, tag, and title? Thanks.

We bought an Ody two weeks ago. Very satisfied with the car. However, the dealer makes a shit now. Any help and suggestion is appreciated.
When we bought the car, the dealer asked for ~$200 for title and registration and agreed to refund if the true cost is less. Because we had a trade-in, the actual registration cost turns out to be just $40 for transferring old plate and old registration to the new car, instead of their estimated $125. The title is about $50. So the dealer should refund us $200-40-50=~$100.
I called the dealer yesterday, one week after receiving the bill for T&R. They first said they would send me the breakdown of the cost and refund the extra. Later the day, they called and said the extra was runner's fee and would not be refunded. That's being said, they simply kept the money.
What should we do to get our money back?
1. This runner's fee is not on the sale agreement, so they should not charge us for it.
2. Moreover, on the sale contract, it is very clear that the ~$200 for t&l is under the section "Pay to others on behalf of yourself". Our understanding is: "Pay to others" means the dealer can use the money to pay DMC etc, but CANNOT use any portion of the money to pay itself. The term "on behalf of yourself" means legitimately the money is ours. Right?
Any suggestion? If we dont get my money back, we feel the dealer would be encouraged to continue to cheat money from others. As consumers, is there a way to protect ourself?
BTW, $100 does not seem a lot, but we don't make easy money and we have kids to feed.

Is that price out the door? I am shopping around in the Southern Cal area for an 2012 Ody EX-L w/NAV as well, and if that's the price you got out the door, then I definitely need to rethink my bargaining strategy.
I filled out their online form and someone called me and also emailed me.
They wanted to charge me $35700 before TTL...

Well, not working out this time for me...
I got a quote from Bobby Rahal for $33,029 for an EX-L (no res, no nav). And the trade quoted was a joke.
So far, best I got has been $31,600 for an EX-L in Planet Honda in northen NJ, however they are sleaze bags. I am using that quote to get others on board.
No numbers on the trade yet (as I haven't brought it in). Have a 2005 Mazda MPV LX pretty loaded with 79K. Based on Edmunds, KBB, NADA, I should get on average 5500.
One local dealer who is matching Planet Honda, is trying to find a $750 certificate as well.
Interesting is that some other dealers stopped replying once I asked if they were willing to match/beat the offer I had.

Thank you for all the great info on this forum. Just pulled the trigger!

I had been in the market for an Odyssey and was waiting for a good deal. Got an email today about "$7000 off MSRP" so I took the bait going in to see what it was about. It was $7000 off MSRP of any EXL with Nav on the lot. All of them had what I would consider 1700 in BS options (mudflaps, wheel lock, cargo plastic thing that goes in the back, tint, little rubber piece on the edge of the doors and a stripe. Nothing I would actually buy on my own.
Walked out with these totals
"Price" including BS options after 6250 off MSRP and 750 rebate:
$180 Doc Fee
TTL is standard stuff, prefer not to disclose as I negotiated like crazy on a trade in and that stuff is standard (doesnt really help someone in another state) and the deal could've been done with or without the trade. The trade backs out some of the tax etc etc..... tough to do apples to apples on that one.
I had to finance to get the $750, as I intended to pay cash, but they gave me .9% so the cost of interest for one month won't be much more than $25.
This was in DFW Dallas Fort Worth Texas. The "deal" is until 1/21 so just one more day.
