I was just in Buffalo a few (couple?) of weeks ago. Did some of the citywide garden tour and the Martin house. Pretty fun, even if I did miss the Krispy Kreme at the mall. Gotta say the Falls are nicer in the off-season though!
Guess I should post this one more time for those considering importing an Odyssey to the States: Gray Area |

| Raybear thanks for the heads up on the OC sticker price add on. Also being new to the area (from hardened Los Angeles) we don't know what car salesfolk tactics they use here but will soon find out! I think we will test drive and then go from there. Thanks!!! | |

I'd never survive a winter (or summer) in Buffalo - my blood is way to thin living in the Bay Area. unless you're a tall legy super model, I'm just not going. |

Expect the same sales tactics, they'll just be a bit more polite, maybe a little snooty also. You can get MSRP in parts of LA, Riverside, San Bernardino and the High Desert areas, and in Ventura County if you're willing to wait out an order. |

Steve, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. What do you consider "off season" for the Falls. Too bad about the Krispy Kremes, though, they are quite an attraction around here. Thanks for the "Gray Car" article. I do remember browsing through that one before now that I see it again. I just wonder how "legitimate" dealerships bother to sell them and how do they get away with it. I saw quite a number of Odysseys with little notes on their windshields regarding not being covered by the American Honda warranty at this particular dealership. It seems a waste of their time. Ohlone....I feel I'd better not comment. |

Honda don't like their dealership selling Canada Honda to US customer. I am just amazed you have a local American Honda Dealer is selling Canada Odyssey in US. Wondering what will happen if Honda knew about this particular dealership. I guess your local dealer will not get Honda's President Award LOL. bjk |

My last visit was in the first week of October, 1999. Few tourists but still fine for camping. Only the Shaw was crowded but luckily got two plays in (as we did recently). Lots of guys got Nissan Pathfinders until a few months ago when Nissan USA stopped honouring the warranty on Canadian purchased cars. Honda USA has had this policy for a long time, as far as I know, and they supposedly (as Bjk2001 notes) "punish" Canadian dealers who sell new cars to American dealers for resale with aftermarket warranties. I understand that this is also a common practice in the European Union but may change with their new economic rules there. And there's been talk of using NAFTA to allow easier cross-border car sales here. Steve Host SUVs, Vans and Aftermarket & Accessories Message Boards |

mart7, You lack tact and are an insult to Honda's previously, indisputably sound reputation. My local Honda dealer has respect for his customers.... Too bad you don't. What goes around comes around, and you will get bit some day! |
