Replying to: szn1 (Nov 03, 2009 2:42 pm) I am assuming $35,200, you mentioned is with out Tax and License fees. If I had to apply socal taxes its $35,200 + $3520 (roughly 10%) -> $38,720 - Its closer to $39,000, which is where I think the deal may end. Now that sales person did not call me back today, may be he thought he'wait to get me increase my bar? Are there any other things that I can ask for the same $39,000? Floor mats and more? Yeah, we are stuck in Cal mess. Sun is great, though. |

Replying to: szn1 (Nov 03, 2009 2:42 pm) I'd take that deal as is. A few weeks back, I got a quote of 40700 OTD for an 09 Touring, and the dealer wouldn't budge on the price knowing I have a quote for 33.5K for a 10 EXL R&N. Back when there was incentives for 2500, the lowest price I've seen for an 09 Touring was 35K. Given TMP of 35700+, selling at 35K dealer lost .7K, but make up for it with 2.5K or a net gain of 1.8K. As there currently is no incentives, and you got quoted 35.2K, that's only 200 above baseline when there was incentive (check out accepted braggle at autobrag.com back in June). At 35.2K + 3925 for tax (ca dmv fee calculator) you're at 39125, just barely above 39K. That is a very good price. I'd have love to have a Touring for the wife, but could not justify the additional 4K for the bumper assisted parking (at 40.7 - got my R&N for 36.7). Good hunting.

Replying to: flyingbrick (Apr 05, 2004 10:41 pm) Despite an elaborate and lengthly presentation of their multi - "Hendricks "Autoguard" Extended Warrnatees -- (TWICE on the $400 polish/scotchguard) - they never made time to mention that "Honda Care", the nationwide official Honda product for extended warantees was a choice. Having never before purchased an extended warrantee and keeping our cars over 10 yrs, we carefully considered the 40K+$ cash price we paid and extensive technology of this model, and bought a $0 ded. 7yr/100K Mile plan w. Because of other difficulties incurred and dissatisfaction with this Agency, (after the door closes the "Honeymoon" abruptly ends - trust us!!), we inquired about the time to get our refund back on this ONE WEEK DEAL. Wow, 6 weeks for $1550 for an instant Amex charge!!!... "Buyers please BEWARE! PS: Wouldn't you think a Honda Dealership would not be allowed to misrepresent or conceal such a product - as we've just verified by the numerous posted experiences of others?? Wake up American Honda and stop chasing the bucks, and rewarding/protecting the "Power Dealers"i>instead of your Customers!! |
